Do you guys ever clean your pipes?

I have a glass piece soaking in some alcohol right now because it got clogged up from excess use (apparently).

I never really ash it out properly and it's kind of small, though. Let's not dicksize here.

Anyway, how do you guys clean your pipes? Is there anything I can do to speed up this soaking process?

get some iso. alcohol in the pipe then add a little bit of salt as a abrasive to help get the shit loose and shake it!

to save resin and avoid using salt, try to scrap the inside with a paper clip then shake with just alcohol. once you start doing it you will get what i mean.

dude your cleaning a pipe, not very interesting thread material. i jsut soak it in alky then scrape it with qtips. or if im in the mood i make some crappy iso hash, if im cleaning all the pipes. or when i was younger id scrape out the resin and toke it if i was out of weed.

lol cleaning your pipe isnt that interesting, making hash out of your resin is almost interesting. Ill let you google iso hash or iso hash from resin yourself. not trying to be a dick, but if cleaning your pipe is interesting to you, you need to expand your mind.

formula 420...buy it at the smoke shop.

it's the easiest method but usually its expensive, like $7 per bottle. makes the pipe look and smell brand new.

The best product of all is purple power its sold in head shops and my friend has like a 5gal jug of the shit in his garage. You just dump it out into a bowl or bucket and dilute it alittle than soak your peice and let it sit for a few hours. Comes out brand new.

Pour a little water through then scrape through the carb hole with a paper clip. It makes the resin easier to scrape so you can get more resin to smoke.


If you don't want the resin just put it in a tupperware container full of water then shake it for like 5 minutes then dump out the water and pour water through the mouthpiece or bowl. Repeat that a few times.

The easiest, cheapest, and most effective method is to use De-Solv-It. A couple of bucks for a bottle and it works substantially better than most specialized products on the market costing five plus times as much.

Yea, def not worth it.

The outside of the pipe will be all sticky with the dissolved rez, it smells real nasty when you are boiling it, and you get some yummy residue where the waterline in the pot was.

If you aren't gunna spring for the form. 420, use iso alcohol and q-tips

i put my peices in a ziplock with rubbing alcohol and salt and just shake it and rub the salt in the bowl through the bag works great.
