I notice everytime a police siren goes by, the coyotes go crazy. I try to call them, but I cant get anything. Do you think I'm just not doing it loud enough? And one time, I heard them, and it sounded like they were killing something, and it sounded like there were a shitload of them. Would they still be afraid of humans in large numbers like that?

They make calls for coyotes. Sort of like duck calls but sound more like killing a baby.Supposed to be a wounded rabbit or something.

First, get a couple good calls. I can't think of any off the top of my head, they're out there. I wouldn't try calling them after a siren goes by. They get all worked up, it hurts their ears, I dunno. Use a wounded deer call or something to that effect. Coyotes love wounded, weak, animals. They're scavengers, they'll take what they can get. As far as hearing a lot of them at once, they occasionally will all pack together and team up to take down something real big, like a deer.

Are you wanting to call them up or just get them to call back? I've always heard of calling them up with a wounded rabbit call. But coyotes are smart so you have to know how to do it right.
