ok so i bought a eighth of shrooms and they are semi dry, the caps are dried the best, but the stems are all mushy and shit. today is sunday, and i'm planning on tripping on friday. will the shrooms dry themselves out if i just keep them in the bag? or do you think that they could become moldy within 5 days?

when you say mushy do you mean like rotted? or just wet still, if you wanna eat them dry then just sit them in a dark dry place thats well ventilated, if you wanna eat them fresh then put them in the fridge till your ready to dose... damn i needa grow some, or meet some of these college folks...

no not rotted just wet and really bruised blue... the guy gave me the fucking tiny mushrooms of the batch. they are basically dry, but i dont think he completed the drying process fully.. do you think in 5 days that they could become moldy?

not if you hurry up and dry them out, i've heard a dry place, in a paper sack with a fan blowing onto them. also some vermiculite or silica packets would'nt help, i would put them to close though..

or put them in the fridge in a dark container if you wanna consume them still moist...

it means they are brusising and wet, put them in a damn paperbag with some silica packets (goto footlocker and look through some shoeboxes)... or some vermiculite (Co. Op.), get it seperated, it'll dry em out a lot faster...

Silica is a desiccant, so it dries that shit up. I usually just put them onto of a fan(spread across the grill).

yes like a brown paper fucking bag, and yes silicia comes in basically ALL packages to keep them dry...

edit; plus part of folks job where i work is to make SURE there are silica packets in the shoe boxes before their scanned into and put into inventory. so yes im very sure, dont open the packets

is it ok if i put ageless oxygen absorber in the bag?...it's a packet that comes in the packets of beef jerky to keep it fresh. is this even silica or would it damage the shrooms cuz i just put it in the bag... also what does the black stickiness mean?

When it bruises blue, it should be a blue colour, maybe with a tint of green, but the black does sound like rotting fungi. Don't sell it cos you could be potentially poisoning someone, take them back to your dealer and bitch til you get your money back/some other shrooms. If he only picked them and not grew them then it's not as if he's losing money so he shouldn't care, and you're not ripping him off cos you're giving him the rotten ones back...

If a dealer dries 3.5g of the shrooms 75%, the "dry" weight will be 1.3g. That's 3.71x the dry weight of the fully dried 0.35g sample.
