I used chewing tobacco for a couple years before I started smoking at 15, and for about a year afterwards, I did both. Fucking hella nicotine buzz, but I was getting so much shit from women about it that I stopped.

I dip all the time because I cant smoke in the kitchen at work. Usally I dip skoal citous blend but Ive been broke as hell latly so Ive been dipping Grizzly Wintergreen which is $2.35 a can compared to $5.65 for skoal

Chewing tobacco comes in bags, its some disgusting ass shit, my dad used to chew but now he dips. Dip is nice but its not a very good image to have, and unless you get some of the better flavored shit it can taste like straight ass.

There are actually a quite a few differences between chewing tobacco, snus, and dip, even though snus is a type of dipping tobacco. Even though for some odd reason a lot of Americans call it all for chewing tobacco. Where I live, in Scandinavia, snus is actually more popular than cigarettes. For beginners it can look/smell pretty bad. However, the general strong picture above is called white portion, and it doesn't smell/look bad for beginners.

I've seen that around, tried it once. Hated it, felt nauseas, I'll never do it again. Only rednecks, hillbillies, and hicks use smokeless tobacco where I live. Though I suppose if I had to go outside in freezing weather to smoke like Scandinavians, I'd get used to it too.

Probably a nicotine shock. US cigarettes have 0.8mg nicotine, while snus has 3.2, the same as canadian cigarettes. I know of people with no previous nicotine tolerance passing out from their first strong snus.

Another thing that americans call the wrong name. Snuff is sniffing tobacco, the one that goes up your nose. Snus is actually not spitting tobacco.
