Excuses to leave the house
So I want to leave the house for 15 or 20 minutes so I can go smoke a hash/tobacco joint. Totse, what should be my excuse to leave the house? I live in a small town, and know a few people around. The only one I have to make the excuse up for is my mom.

I don't have a dog, I never go for walks (she'd know I was up to something) and I don't have a bike. An old friend of mine actually got a dog for that exact reason. He ended up walking it a lot. I have a deck right outside my room where I can go, but its very risky. And at this point I cannot risk my mom finding out that I smoke hash. Luckily, my old tolerance regrew so I don't get blodshot eyes unless I smoke a lot.

You're pathetic if you can't get out of the house.

Of course I can leave the house. The problem is leaving the house, and entering 15 minutes later without causing suspicion.

Thank you for your advice! Will do! The friend thing. I told her I was going to the store earlier, but dropped it because its to far away (and I don't want to stay out for half an hour). No my mom's got a knee injury so she's not working. She'll have company today and will be drinking, while I'll be upstairs. I might just go on deck after she's had a few. Actually, I'm out of snus, so I might as well go to the store, get a pack, and smoke that joint aswell.

Re: Excuses to leave the house
Long and complicated stories with details you won't remember later usually work best.
For instance...
"Hey, I'm gunna go down to James' to pick up my binder which I think I left there a couple of days ago when we were working on our history project, which I KNOW, we finished it early, but Sarah asked for some help on the science test which I actually have the study guide in the binder so I need it by tonight so I can discuss the test with her over I.M., usually I wouldn't help her but she helped me a couple of days ago on a math test so ya, I guess I owe her, I think I'm also going to pick up a coffee too so I don't know when I'll be back, anyways, bye!"
proceed to smoke bowl outside then come back in five minutes later
"Hey, I'm back...I guess James didn't have my backpack..."

I'm back from the store. I picked up a general strong snus, and a pack of zig zags. And I'm happily baked.

Re: Excuses to leave the house
Lol I always had to make up excuses to leave to go smoke. Usually I'd just say I was going to a friends house down the street, going to the store, or going skateboarding around. Or just say "bye" and leave.

Re: Excuses to leave the house
Of course I can leave the house. The problem is leaving the house, and entering 15 minutes later without causing suspicion.
i know the op said he/she lived in a smal;l town, but a "gas station run" always worked for me.
i need to go get a drink, snack or ciggarettes always worked in my favor, cause everyone needs something from the gas station every once and a while
else tell them you are trying to get in shape so you need to take "jogs" to keep your stamina up, but i would bring visine and work up a small sweat before you smoke then just walk in and if they ask anything tell them the "jog" was good
or you could pick up a crappy bike or borrow one that a friend isnt useing, and say you took up riding, parents are usually pretty non-chalant about hobbies, they want you to expand your horizons, and if you can pretend you are really into it they will bite, with a doubt in my mind

Re: Excuses to leave the house
If you don't go out regularly, then of course they're going to be interested when you finally go out. Get your ass outside more often and you won't have to be paranoid when you wanna go smoke a spliff.

Smoke up and be awesome, if you can't think of an excuse you fail. If this doesn't make sinse I appologize I am drunk.

Re: Excuses to leave the house
Just up and leave. They wont notice/care.
If they do, ask them why you need a reason to go outside.
Its a free world.
(Not really, but you can say that)

You said you smoke cigarettes? Why not just say you're going out for a smoke?
Oh, how I love not being 15 and having my own place.

Re: Excuses to leave the house
Movies are great. Pick a shitty one that theyd believe you would ever see, read about it online, and bam, you have two hours on you hands. I like if because I have to be a little sobered up and aired out before I get home (my parents are sharp)

No I don't smoke cigarettes. Weed is hard to come by where I live so you have to mix the hash with tobacco. And I don't want her thinking I smoke cigarettes. Else I'd do it because the joints smell 90% tobacco.

But I don't really have anywhere else to go for 2 hours. I want to get high and play some computer games and listen to music. Not sit out in the cold alone freezing my ass off smoking a joint. I already did complete my objective, but I think excuses like this could educate fellow totseans.

Re: Excuses to leave the house
Seriously, invest in the long-term new bike riding/jogging hobby. Tell your parents that you've decided that you want to be more active and get some exercise now that it's getting warmer (I don't know where you live, but it's getting to be spring in the northern hemisphere) and start going out for 20 minute walks/bike rides/whatever a couple times a week. When they realise that it's going to be a regular occurrence and you can just say "I'm going out for a quick jog" without them freaking, you're home free.

Wouldn't you think the parent would assist him in leaving? I mean, what parent really wants their kid sitting inside all day?

Yea man, I can't think of any parent that would want their kid inside all day, and finally going out only to get/use drugs. It's sad man. Parents aren't your enemy, they'll be fucking delighted to see you doing something. I remember one summer in highschool when I only had a few close friends and would spend most of my days sitting inside. Towards the end of the summer they started MAKING me go out, because they just hated the sight of me sitting on my ass.

Re: Excuses to leave the house
sometimes i get in that situation...a friend will pick me up and smoke a blunt and sometimes they'll have shit to do so i have to get dropped off... i usually wait until the last second for an excuse. it seems like they come to you way quicker when it really comes down to it. :p
