I was just wondering is it a good idea, since I don't have a bong, and i have this hookah. Any tips?

Is it a hookah made for smoking pot (with a slide like a bong) or a real hookah with a coal and all?

I have heard that Salvia needs a high temperature flame to vaporize correctly so coal might not work. A lot of people recommend a direct torch lighter to the plant material. That being said, I've used Salvia for years using an ordinary Bic lighter with fine results. Your mileage may vary.

Salvia is great in a bong though. It goes down very very smooth.

it won't work with the usual burning-coal setup that hookahs traditionally work on. you -could- get it to work with just a lighter but it'd be way better to just get your hands on a bong or bubbler.

first time I broke through was using a 1 gallon plastic juice bottle :) we did have a nice glass slide+downtube to use with it, though.

Yeh, its pretty simple to make your own bong out of a bottle or anything bottle-like. Ask if you need help doing this.

Also, torch lighters are amazing for this stuff. Always recommended!

st time with salvia i use a regular metal pipe and a bic lighter and i would say that i felt the total effect just a few seconds after the first and second hit, it was intence, but it was only 20x, i wanna try 120x through a bong just for the trip, lol

7x salvia, took a full lung full off of a brand new bowl with the bic held to it the entire time, harsh as fuck and my lungs felt like they were on fire... but i held it in for a full 40 seconds and then everything stated being sucked into salvialand, i dont even remember exhaling, just lay back, cram a little bit more fresh air into the lungs to make it not as harsh and to force any in my throat down, and then i was gone...

dont think it will work too well with a hookah, make a socket and bottle bong, hell gravity bong it and your going to be in for one hell of a ride...

I've done 1 3 5 and 20xs without breaking through most of the time with a big so I'm going to use a torch lighter next time. I have two torch lighters one with a small fat flame and the other with a long thin and very hot flame. Which one should I use or will it make that much of a difference? Or just hold the hit longer(usually around 30sec.)?

what kind of hookah? and why are you gunna single me out, a bunch of people here said it wont work. I mean fuck, you only fill up like half our lungs with a hookah, and the smoke comes so slow. at least the ones im thinking of where u use a charcoal.

First: It was a homemade hookah.

Second: I did not single you out. There is no sense in quoting everyone who said it and yours was the first one I noticed. It's a simple as that. Nothing personal. Don't get all paranoid here.

Third: If you know how to use a hookah you don't get only half you lungs with smoke.

Meh, assuming it is your average hookah, the bowl is very big, which makes it a pain. The coal probably won't be enough to get the effects... and in my experiences, salvia usually hits your ass fast after the hit. Why bother with a hookah, just use a pipe or something quick.

I use an apple because it is quick and direct. The period between the burning and the intake has to be short, or else the salvinorin A. will lose its potency.

No, because with less Salvinorin A. being ingested, the harder it is to break through (the more you have to take).

So I'd have more chances of breaking through with a lightbulb vaporizer, than with, let's say, a gravity bong?

No Light Bulb Vaporizer because you will not be able to generate enough heat to efficiently harvest the Salvinorin A. from the Salvia Divinorium.

You don't lose potency over distance. It's all about what your lungs can handle. Water pipes make the smoke a little less harsh and allow you to take a bigger hit. Bigger hit, more sally a. But kudos for using the right active chem.
