I really doubt I'll be dropping acid because I have no source for hallucinogens besides the occasional offer of shrooms which I may very well partake in tomorrow. But the mushrooms are apparently fresh rather then dried which is apparently inferior. If worst comes to worst I might just settle for DXM. Its all good with me really.

For me, it isn't about getting fucked. It's more about trying a new hallucinogen. I also disagree with his point about LSD use in the 60's. The youth culture didn't turn his creation into a recreational "abused" drug. Shit was already happening before LSD became popular. People were doing sit ins and protests. Kennedy empowered the youth in the early 60's, and when he was assassinated, and LBJ escalated the Vietnam war, that youth culture still had that power, and they now had a war that they fucking despised.
It was Timothy Leary and Hoffman's own fucking fault that LSD was popularized and "abused". |
