Hey i have just recently started growing Marijuana,
i distilled the seeds and planted them about two weeks ago, so far none have sprouted, but i do have a few questions refering to lighting once they start:

I was reading a guide on the site "the shroomery", and it says you should start by giving the plants 18 hours of light a day, and once they grow higher cut it down to 12 for the buds to grow or something.
but i have recently started talking to a friend on msn, who showed me a webcam of his plants, (12 of them)
and they are growing great in size.
he told me that let them get 24 hours, non-stop lighting and cut down to 12 once he thought the buds were soon to grow.

Giving the plants only 18 hours, seems more logical to me since they may need time to rest, im not sure.
but seeing this guys plants, totally changed my idea.
so what amount of lighting should i start with?
and when should i cut it down to 12?

umm if you do the 12/12 light cycle your plants will develop buds more quickly at a shorter heighth. other cycles with more light and less dark, will have the plant reach a bigger heighth (and width obviously) and be a more wholesome plant before getting buds.

oh yeah. i completely forgot. i haven't grown for a long while now due to lack of seeds. i used to go to overgrow but yeah it's fucked now.
i'd get fucked for this but try thenook. it's a small community but they got some great members.
