A question about mushrooms, alcohol, and probation
I have several questions that require answers that will help to shape my immediate future for the next year or so.
I got on informal probation a week or two ago. I'm going to meet my PO tomorrow. The crime I committed wasn't at all drug related although it was a felony. How often do you think I will be drug tested?
Naturally, I'm not smoking weed for the next six months. But I drink frequently and last saturday I had my first shroom experience. I'm seventeen by the way. When they drug test me do they have seperate tests for pot and alcohol? Are/can they even test me for alcohol really? I know they have the urine test that will help determine if I drank in the last four days but will they test me?
On to the mushrooms; do shrooms leave any trace that can be detected? I think I will keep doing shrooms unless someone can convince me not to. They don't have any long term negative side effects, right? And they can't be tested for, right? So it seems like the perfect drug as long as I don't hang around cliffsides while tripping. Will doing shrooms enough make me a little retarded or lower my self-esteem or anything like that? Am I putting my mind at risk? Why shouldn't I do mushrooms regularly (every other week)?

Re: A question about mushrooms, alcohol, and probation
mushrooms arent tested for alcohol is. I get tested every month it depends on your PO i guess. Opiates, methadone, meth, benzos, weed, pcp, coke, alcohol, quaaludes, barbituates, regular amps, and oxys i think are tested for. at least in missouri.

Re: A question about mushrooms, alcohol, and probation
The only long term damage detected conclusively by studies on shrooms is inflicted by oneself physically, or on the mind by a bad trip. Not much is known beyond those two causes. There is evidence to suggest that they can worsen any mental conditions that you already have, but they are not addictive.
Unfortunately, it is very easy to build a tolerance. But, like LSD, this should also disappear quickly. Doing shrooms night after night will diminish the effects, but taking three days' break in between trips should fix it.
(I myself have not tried shrooms. However, if the opportunity arises I will undoubtedly say YES!)
