a steady consumption of about 4-5mg of ativan (lorazepam) for the last 4-5 days.
Due to... tolerance feels 4 mg of ativan to a much lesser degree.

besides waiting - is there anything that can be done? Is there a quick way to lower tolerance?

Are you sure? Because I thought it applied to all benzo's, and I personally thought it affected the strength of Xanax and ativan. Actaully I'm alost positive that in my mom's little packet they attach to her Xanax script that it specifically mentions not to drink grapefruit juice.

All I know is, that when I was addicted to benzo's physically I could take up to 10 milligrams of xanax and go to work, but if I drank a bottle of grapefruit juice with 2-4 milligrams of xanax that i usually wouldn't remember shit after the last gulp. I'd also usually wake in the shower with the water being ice cold, yet set to hot.

According to these sites its only diazepam, midazolam, and triazolam(sp?). NOt clonazepam or xanax. I dunno maybe im wrong, ive always thought it was just valium. I never noticed any difference taking xanax and grapefruit juice.
