Because the amount he is talking about isn't really worth the effort, for one thing.

Before I figured I could smoke it, I used to powder up tar - squirting liquids up the nose ain't the funnest way to do it - even with a nose spray bottle.

About the easiest thing you could do is get some baking powder - powder not soda - and add a little bit and just use a blade to cut it into the tar. Add powder to taste, so to speak. I usually did it just until it was no longer sticky. When it's sticky - as in trying to snort powered tar [sometimes you get the tar and is already a fine powder that you have to breath on to moisten it just enough to solidify so it's easier to manage and less likely to get scattered and lost...But I digress] - when it's sticky it sticks up your nose too much.

Now for those of you who are going to tell me that it is stupid to do and I/the op should just bang it, let me just say now: Stfu.

Some of us have enough of a brain that we choose not to want to add all the shit needle use brings to our current list of troubles. And don't tell me it doesn't cause trouble. Or that it doesn't if you do it right. Because damn few do it right 100% of the time, which is what you need to do. I don't know one person who has used a needle who would tell me that his/her life wasn't worse off for having used needles. And I'm sure not one of the needle users here could say the same. And if by chance they didn't say that I'd bet a year's pay that they will by the time they've been using needles for 10 years.
