I have heard a few wives tales and myths about ways so u dont get sick when dranking alot. Like eating bread as u drink or eating a very solid meal before u drink with no sauce, also i heard something about taking a teaspoon of canola oil before drinking I just wanna know if any of these are true or if anyone in totse really knows a preventitive that can be taken so U dont throw up wen drinking a lot of alcohol.

Having a good meal earlier on in the day helps. It really depends on you though. You have to know your own limits. Space out your drinks when you start getting tipsy. Over time you will know yourself a little better, and you wont have that problem.

Always drink water before you go to bed. This will save you a lot of hangovers.;)

Yeah it's really as simple as spacing out your drinks, having some food/water in your system as well and not getting out of hand. I know if I ever start to feel sick while drinking if I eat a little food (bread does help I've found) I'll feel fine in a couple minutes.

Then again, I rarely drink to the point of having bed spins or nausea.. I don't see the fun in any of that.

That being said, don't do something stupid like eat bread. All that does is soak up the alcohol that's sloshing around; it's still in your stomach and it's still gonna get absorbed until the bread digests completely. The best think is not to drink until you have to puke, but if you do end up having to puke, don't be a pussy, just get it over with and get the alcohol out of your system entirely before you start feeling even shittier.

But to be helpful, I'd say eating just a small-moderate amount helps alot. A big meal will probably make you puke, the last few times I've done it have ended in Chipotle thrown up in a gravel driveway, Steak and Shake all over a stranger's car, and the list goes on.

Eating nothing can be okay if you have a little alcohol, don't expect to feel good though if you drink beer. Drink vodka then dilute it with a chaser, you'll feel good.

I'd say some of the drunkest, funnest times I've had have involved puke. Nothing like a little reminder that what you've done isn't exactly the best for you.. Plus you only live once, and if you drink enough to puke you will probably not remember the specific unpleasantries anyway. However, I remember one time vividly, 6 beers then 10 shots, and mexican food + about a full pack of cigs in 5 hours led to some of the nastiest puke ever, plus it was like 30 degrees out and it was coming out of my fucking nose. The best thing to do is of course, experiment over the course of several months to find what you can handle. Drink vodka every time you go out. Start out with a shot an hour. See how you feel. Try a shot every 30 mins, see how you fee. The whole point of this exercise is to learn how your own body handles alcohol. This way you will know when to stop.

I used to drink 14 shots of Bacardi or Canadian Mist in 2 hours. I pregamed hard then didn't drink the rest of the night. I always drank water before/after and took a vitamin before bed. Most of the time I didn't get a hangover. I only got sick when I drank cheap vodka. That was heinous.

So step 1: Always make sure you're hydrated before you drink. This is extremely important. If you are not hydrated before you drink, you will have a shitty hangover because you probably aren't going to sit around for a few hours after you drink to properly hydrate yourself. So yeah, drink water before you drink.

Step 2: Do not eat a lot. Make sure you're eating fairly healthy. Eat protein and carbs, and wait at least 2 hours before you start getting trashed. Take a vitamin with your meal too. For fuck's sake, make sure you eat a decent amount of food, just don't go binge at a buffet.

Step 3: Once you're hydrated and you've eaten properly, wait a few hours.

Step 4: Choose a quality drink. Do not drink cheap vodka and expect to make it out ok. If you pound 14 shots of Barton's/McCormick/Viaka or some other post industrial waste shit you're probably going to get heinously sick. Spend a little more and get something decent: Bacardi, Appleton's or Cruzan for rum. For vodka get Svedka, Kutskova, Shaker's (if it's cheap where you live), or at the very least get Smirnoff. For whiskey, Evan Williams black label is a good cheap choice.

Step 5: Now that your body is ready and you have your drink you can proceed. Drink slowly. It's not a fucking race to see how fast you can drink. If you race and you don't know your limits, you will probably get sick.

Step 6: Go have fun.

Step 7: Recovery begins. Sit around for a little while and drink some water. You need to drink a liter of water or so. Space it out over a half hour or something. Don't go straight to bed. You need to hydrate yourself to avoid nasty hangovers.

There you have it. Simple steps of knowing your body, hydrating yourself, eating beforehand, and not drinking 10 shots in 30 mins will keep you from getting sick.

Another suggestion is to work out in your spare time. Men process alcohol way better than women because on average men have more muscle mass than women. Muscle metabolizes the alcohol better than fat. So, if you work out and get some more muscle you'll be healthier and be able to drink more without getting sick.

What? Why would you feel like shit? I have activated charcoal lying around, in capsules. The charcoal has a very very large surface area, and would help absorb the alcohol. At the very least it would allow the alcohol to be released slowly. Why do you think taking activated charcoal make you feel like shit? I know from personal experience it doesn't.
