Question Sharing folders between Ubuntu(host) and Windows XP(guest) with virtualbox

I'm trying to get virtual box to share folders between OS's.

I shared /home/max in ubuntu. I used Windows Network(SMB) as the method.

Then in Virtual box I used that same location as the shared folder for windows and named it ubuntu.

I tried "net use X:\\vboxsvr\ubuntu" but the cmd prompt throws me an error 67.

I also tried :

sudo vboxmanage sharedfolder add "Windows XP" -name "Home" -hostpath "/home/max"

but it says that there are no machines with the name "Windows XP".

I checked in .VirtualBox and sure enough, it's there.

Help me share files across them....

This is totally integrated in Virtual Box.

Somewhere in the settings you can choose Ubuntu folders that appear in the shared folders in the network>workgroup>whatever section of windows.

Sorry this is rough but I don't have Virtual Box in front of me. Later I'll give the exact location if you don't figure it out.
