Any precaution? Bad experiences?
I have always liked the idea of LSD to Cocaine, so please share your experiences.

lsd is really nothing like cocaine...

if you have ever done any hallucinogens before you kind of know what to expect, though (good) acid usually lasts longer and is more intense then most other drugs of that kind. i wouldn't really try to be around a ton of people your first time tripping, that really freaked me out the first time i dropped. besides that don't do anything too crazy and just have a good time space cowboy.

I believe marijuana and LSD belong to the same category. I have smoked pot a lot many times. Just a little curious about LSD.

What? Fuck no. The only "catagory" those two compounds share is that they are both illegal in the US. That's it, and even THAT is catagorized differently. They aren't even in the same schedule.

Fuck doing coke on acid, seriously. Why would you want to fiend for something for the whole trip? It'd be like torture.

Go to a park or a nature reserve if you have one nearby. Bring plenty of water and fruit, cigarettes if you smoke them, weed + bowl, and an mp3 player if you have one (try meditation to some psychedelic ambient music), and a blanket to sit or lay down on. I usually always have a "survival kit" backpack with the previously mentioned items in them when I trip.

I would bring my phone for emergencies only, but turn it off or on silent.

Bring a sketch book and some crayons, markers, paint, whatever.

And maybe some sunglasses so if anyone comes by they won't be able to tell how fucked up you are :)

If you play guitar or have a djembe or any other kind of hand drum, bring it.

oh, acid is kind of different than pot too. i used to think the same thing so the first time i dropped i expected to get "high." but tripping is a lot more intense (visually, perceptually, mentally) then just baking the fuck out. its hard to explain unless you have done it, but either way lsd is a really powerful tool that can show you a lot of things about yourself and the world that you should take advantage of if the opportunity presents itself. i personally have never gotten "the fear" too bad, but freak outs do happen and the only way to prepare against them is too just make sure you have control over you state of mind before you do it. again, you CAN NOT play off acid to anyone so make sure that you and whoever you trip with have a few hours (eight at least) to devote to authority-figure free perceptual exspansion.

Stop trying to fucking mix shit with LSD when you haven't even tried it yet. JESUS. You fucking SHOULD be scared, because with the mindset you have right now, a strong dose of LSD would rip your entire fucking world apart.

Yeah, if you're going to mix acid with anything have it be reefer, and even that will alter the trip...

If it's good acid, you won't even WANT to smoke weed.

don't mix alcohol or benzos unless things get to crazy for the setting... it brings it down...

stop trying to mix shit with it, at most smoke a bowl at the peak if its not too overwhelming yet... or smoke one after you take the hits to kill about some time during the come up...

im not even going to try to tell you what to expect, don't expect anything, no amount of preparation is going to prepare you for what you will think and feel... in the words of the girl who introduced me to acid, "just let the lovin take hold"... write on a sheet of paper "im on acid, things will be normal soon" in case you forget your on a drug altogether, when your feeling insane for no apparent cause and you see the cause written on a sheet of paper in your own handwriting its a bit better than having your friend try to convince you... if you start getting into a place you don't want to be in look at your thumb and index finger and try to conceptualize the distance between them, that can cause your train of thought to jump to something else, it occupies the thoughts and soon the bad parts are replaced with something else... i think this technique was created by shulgin if memory serves... the writing on a sheet of paper thing came from meta...

get an mp3 player, put on some music that you like, try to stay away from the darker stuff... Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is one of my favorites, its hard not to be happy listening to that album in any state of mind... pink floyd provides a good mind fuck... to each there own i guess...

go outside, day or night... its the most beautiful thing you will have ever fucking seen... going for a walk on acid for me generally seems like walking into some beautiful painting but more alive than a painting...

movies and video games aren't that great on acid, ive attempted to play gears of war while tripping pretty hard, and i sucked and quickly lost interest in favor of music from my mp3 player.... movies are hard to understand unless you have watched them to death, but if you must fear and loathing is always interesting.... across the universe might be good if only just for the music. even if you don't understand what the fuck is going on with the plot the music is still there...

on my first trip i couldn't even remember what sanity was, i felt insane but it was a blissfully insanity where it felt good to laugh and be happy, so i laughed till it hurt and then i kept on laughing, to feel that happy you kind of have to go over the edge of sanity and reason, acid did that for me... but i was able to keep that thought of "whatever sanity is, it will be back by the time the sun comes up".

There are few things that mix well with acid.

Those things are:

Marijuana
MDMA
and Nitrous.

Don't watch across the universe, that movie sucked IMO. Sure, it has some 'trippy' parts, but the story is pretty depressing. On enough acid, you will feel the emotion of the movie you're watching.

Actually, yeah I am probably wrong about the scheduling, I didn't actually look, I only assumed that since marijuana had legitimate medical usage it was lowered on schedule, but I guess since it's still state to state it hasn't been changed on a federal level.

Be secure with who you are, LSD will enlighten you so don't let it scare you. I've found day trips are more enjoyable than night trips because if you decide to go to sleep, you can and also there's less stuff to worry about at night.

Do it with friends, have fun, and trip on a nice sunny day so you can hike, bike, stare at the clouds and hacky sack and shit. Just enjoy it.

Yes. Of course I have. I wouldn't say that it didn't enlighten me if I hadn't have experienced LSD many times. I only speak from experience.

Yeah, I understand that, every time I trip its a pretty powerful thing, I take something new away from it every time and implement it into my life. Maybe enlightening wasn't the right word, but you get the drift.

It's sad that you haven't dived deep enough into yourself to realize that the LSD isn't giving you any realizations. Your brain is simply functioning in a much different fashion and, due to the heavily altered state of consciousness, you're making many new neural connections, falsely leading you to believe that the LSD is giving you the secrets to life.

LSD is far from enlightenment, especially when you label it enlightening.

The first trip is usually a superficial experience, it's like going on a sightseeing tour where your guide hits you over the head, steals your possession's and leaves you to fend for yourself in the middle of the amazon.

Maybe on your next one you'll actually be able to use the experience. :)
