standardized is taking a measured amount of salvinorin and infusing it onto foliage.

non-standardized is evaporating the solvent used in the extraction directly onto the foliage without measuring. for example, extracting the salvinorin from 4g of foliage and infusing it onto 1g of foliage would make ~1g of 5x extract (because it's the salvinorin from 5 grams of salvia crammed into one gram of the stuff)

non-standardized is fine, if you're getting it from a reputable source.

Not true. There is no definition for "standard."

This is what most companies would do:

Non standardized 1g 20x: 190g extracted and evaporated onto 10g to give 10g of 20x

Standardized 1g 20x: 19g extracted onto 10g to give 1g of 20x

The difference is that standardized focuses soley on 1g of material to extract on so that it recieves the full +19g extract. If you evaporate 190g onto 10g it will not be spread out evenly.

When websites say "standardized is measuring an exact amount of salvinorin A onto 1g leaf" why don't they list the exact amount? The leave that out, it's very vauge, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT DO IT!

There was one site that claimed their w/e extract had w/e amount of s.a. on it, but I bought that and it shure as hell wasn't what they said it was.
