So I bought a glass pipe on the weekend, sorry pic, as yet anyhow.

It's what I'd use for weed...however

It's about 15cm (yeah metric, sorry) long and has the bowl and the pipe piece itself has like bubbled bits going down it. There's also an air intake at the opposite end to where you inhale.

Since it is glass and knowing a little about it now what else would it be good for? Could I vap from the bottom and keep inhaling or do you NEED to do it like the lightbulb vap?

Also considering it's design how can I clean it? I was thinking when it needs it I'd have to give it a soak in some solution that's not going to taint the next sessions smoke.

Most headshops have a pipe cleaning solution if you have the cash.

I'm poor so I used a vile concoction - isopropyl alcohol and acetone, mostly - to remove some really heavy duty res just today (7-8 months without cleaning). I got probably about a gram from the bowl alone - it just peeled off. I can pretty much see clear through the pipe now.

if you're not vaping out of a real vaporizers you're most likely not actually vaping. It is in my experience that if you ghetto rig a vape you end up burning more of the weed then actually vaping it.

Say if you have some shitty 50% iso, you can add salt and pull ~99% iso out that will clean better and evaporate quicker as well.

Well me I guess? A while ago I had a pipe that was thin but it was still pretty nice. But I could heat up the bottom of the bowl and get vape hits.

I too vape with my glass pipe. I don't put weed in there for vaping, I vape the resin.
