Becoming a full time GHB user.
I've came to the conclusion that for less then $100 dollars, a person can synthesize 200+grams of GHB. (GBL from a UK site that doesn't charge shipping..)
Is GHB physically addicting? Anyone w/ experience? The reports conflict.
Taking GHB every single night as a sleep aid, legit? (.5-1g)
Taking GHB to get fucked up, too, every single day? (2-3.5g)
Cravings for GHB, really bad?
How much is street GHB by the gram/ball?
What is GHB like anyways? It seems to be mostly similar to alcohol but w/ moar euphoria yet some people claim trippy..
Obviously I don't plan to do this, it's just interesting and I like to think about weird shit like this.

Do you do anything except sit on the internet and look at psychoactives that you could buy? Dear god man.

Re: Becoming a full time GHB user.
Is it easy enough for someone with none/little chemistry experience to synthesize it from GBL?

Re: Becoming a full time GHB user.
treatment of overdose - co-administer lorazepam and physostigmine
physically addictive - yes, after constant use in 2 weeks
yes, it is effective in treatment of insomia
500 mgs to 3 grams is the recommended recreational dose.
cravings? probably not
about $15
effects - http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/ghb/ghb_effects.shtml

How bad are the w/drawls? Could one just start halfing their dosage over a period of two weeks untill they don't use any moar? If one were to pick up again later, would the w/drawls come back even after the first use?

Re: Becoming a full time GHB user.
Withdrawal effects may include insomnia, restlessness, anxiety, tremors, sweating, loss of appetite, edginess, tachycardia, chest pain and tightness, muscle and bone aches, sensitivity to external stimuli (sound, light, touch), dysphoria, and mental dullness.
These side-effects will subside after 2 - 21 days, depending on frequency of usage and the size of the doses used. In particularly severe cases, withdrawal from GHB may cause symptoms similar to acute withdrawal from alcohol or barbiturates (delirium tremens) and can cause convulsions and hallucinations.
Although there have been reported fatalities due to GHB withdrawal, reports are inconclusive and further research is needed. Unlike alcohol, there is no firm data that chronic use of GHB causes permanent damage to the body. In rats, no organ or brain damage was observed after chronic administration of GBL (a precursor to GHB)

lol@copy n paste.
My dad says that whenever he starts drinking again (he is a chronic alcoholic) he w/drawls as soon as the alcohol wears away, even if he has been sober for 2 years.
Will this happen on GHB or would the person have to develope physical tolerance and addiction again?

Definitely. It's seriously just gbl + base refluxed. You can also go from a key of GABA to a few hundred g's of ghb for less than $75

I strongly believe that it should be allowed back on the supplement market, or at least available to responsible people.
though i must admit GHB missuses, such as dependence abuse, and date rape, are good enough reasons to have it off the market.
Though, hypothetically, if possible, someone who i might know would surely purchase quite a sizable quantity of GHB, as it has great benefits as a supplement (if used correctly).
FYI mark my words; it should never be used as a regular sleep aid....

What else would you use GHB for? Not to get high? Like how marijuana patients JUST SMOKE for relief of their symptoms and nothing moar?

Re: Becoming a full time GHB user.
how does a sleep aid treat narcolepsy?
at lower doses its more of a stimulant, while at higher doses its more of a depressant.
"In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration permits the use of GHB under the trade name Xyrem to reduce the number of cataplexy attacks in patients with narcolepsy." -wikipedia

Date Rape!
What do I win?
But seriously black pope this is your worst idea yet. Use GHB every day, are you joking? Why would you want to use it as a sleep aid anyhow? Have fun not waking up when your house burns down.
Not only in that regard but the dependence and tolerance that has been discussed already... there's going to be a point where you're fucking with doses 10x your starting dose... great plan.
I'd also imagine habitual use to be pretty bad for that brain thing.
