Default getting off opiates

Ive been addicted to various opiates for over a year now and really want to stop. I have a good full time job and am in college so i can't really lock myself up for a week. my tolarace isn't compleatly ridiculous about 250mg of morphine for a strong nod. Ive never done H mostly morphine and oxy.

Does anyone have any advive on quitting without interrupting work and school?

I would try suboxone matienence b4 methadone, as that can be a much more painful addiction. im on suboxone right now and it works wonders for cravings and withdrawals. It can have alot of side effects with some people tho. But its proven to work in treating addiction in an office environment (school or work). Good luck bro, good to see some people on here doing good for themselves.

Suboxone is prescribed in the physician's office.

ya like laundry said. I get mine from a physcian i found at suboxone.com. You have to go to a physcian who is permitted to prescribe suboxone. You can sign up on the suboxone site, or actually a site that they link you too, and sign up for doctors in your area to send you an email telling you they are accepting pateints. then you call them to set up an appt. mine set one up for the very next day. They wont let you start the treatment till youve been off opiates for 5 days. If you have insurance its like 45$ a bottle no matter how much they give you. you also cant do other opiates while on suboxone cuz of the narcon. yes its prescribed for addiction. Hope this helps.

No, it's "perscribed" for high blood pressure. That's why it was mentioned, obviously.

Theres not much you can do for the w/ds except taking otehr drugs, methadone, suboxone, benzos, or kratom. although at detox i did see them giving some people some special orange juice i dont know much about that. all those drugs can help the cravings too. Keeping your mind busy will help too.

Tapering will help ease the physical withdrawal. Your mindset is the only thing you have to help with your cravings.

instead of quitting and interrupting your life, why not get a prescription (if you're worried about the legal issues of buying) of just enough to keep you from going into withdrawal, then, when the time is right, ween yourself off of it. If you treat an opiate addiction with another drug, you're likely to become addicted/dependant on that one.

As long as it doesn't interfere with your school/work (which you lead me to believe is going well), it shouldn't be an issue. But like i said, wait till you're done with school to quit, as it will be unpleasant and distracting.

I've been reading a little about ibogaine. Its used for various addiction, primarily opiate addiction. It is legal in the USA and most parts of the world. It is a natural substance, distilled from the iboga root bark. Couldn't hurt to try.

Interesting, I've never heard of that. DXM does potentate opiates though. I wonder if potentiating has anything to do with releaving withdrawals?

In your situation(with no time to detox) suboxone would probably be your best bet. So basically not quiting at all but replacing.
Dxm doesnt do shit for withdrawals. It doesnt have an effect on the proper receptor sites.

google dxm opiate withdrawal. and it does affect the same receptor sites as ibogaine, making it helpful in easing withdrawals. you can find info on that wikipedia, under ibogaine. thats also why its good for taking before you take opiates.
