So yesterday me and a friend were in brighton so we popped into the local headshop - Smokers Heaven.

I saw these pre-rolled Spice Joints

So we bought 2, for £3.00 each.

I didnt expect much; being legal (and freely sold to me, a 16 year old).

We went to the beach and smoked one each, about halfway though each one, we were talking and so they went out.

About 10 minutes later, we decided to re-light them as we werent feeling much.

First off, they suddenly felt very hot, unbearably so.

I then lit a ciggarette, just to check, and yes the ciggarette was just as unnaturaly hot. It must have been the effect causing that. It felt like we were breathing in the air when you open an oven, very strange.

After finishing, we peaked about 15 minutes later, went into giggling fits and spouts of dizziness, all in all it was very strong, and very good.

I would describe it as a very good alternative to weed, puts me in almost the exact same mind-set, except when i',m baked i think of all these cool things to do, but i'm too lazy to get up and actually do them, with these you have the energy. You can keep up a decent conversation, but when trying to explain something you do tend to trail off, similar to weed.

It lasted a lot longer though, after about 4-5 hours we were still a bit giggly, and when i woke up this morning i was quite groggy, and through-out the day i have still been mixing up words.

That, in someway i hope, will explain the poor syntax of this post.

But yes, who else has had similar experiences?

And can you recommend a similar, yet more mild substance for casual smoking, as long as its cheap it doesnt matter if its weak.

Actually Spice has quite a big following. A friend of mine smokes it regularly. He tells me Spice Gold is quite a lot better than the regular stuff, and he buys it by the eighth. (which is actually 3g, heh). This isnt some little kidiot either, he has access to good bud and MDMA constantly.

It wasnt a placebo, i've read reviews etc, and my friend and i were very skeptical, we didnt expect anything at all.

Everyone here refuses to believe it's real. I stay away from it because only god knows what the drug actually is and you do feel it the next morning, but other than that it's good stuff. I've heard the police in guernsey are very well aware of it.

I know a guy who smoked a spice gold / salvia 20x mix, thinking it was just spice regular, no salvia.

He smoked about 5 fat joints in a day, and was fucked for 2 weeks. No i'm not joking, this guy wasnt putting it on, he's not some prick trying to get attention, he said he saw everything made out lines for 2 weeks, and was convinced he'd lost his toe.

Worst still, he had his GCSE's halfway through (important end of school exams for all you yanks), and spent an hour of his 2 hour english exam writing gibberish, and finally snapped to with an hour to spare.

He pretty much failed that subject, kid hasnt been 100% the same since....

Thats why whenever i pick up of a new dealer / unreliable, i chew a small amount before smoking it.

Have you ever tried to set steel wool on fire? You can do it with a normal flame. But you wouldn't even be able to melt it normally at temperatures below 2000 celcius.

It's the same kind of thing with glass. It's all to do with the surface area. Very finely ground glass has a much higher surface area than, for example, a glass vase.

If you want something similar to Spice or Spice Gold but not as strong you should try "Meltdown" or "Blast Off", which you can get from spiceworld420 aswell as all the other "Galaxy Blends", which are more potent than the two I mention but they are all unique blends that work just as good as spice

No idea. When I smoked it by itself I didn't feel anything. When I was drunk it seemed to change the drunkenness a little. I remember the smoke being really harsh, maybe it was old and really dry. Did you mix it with anything? I have some I bought last August, think it would still be good? Assuming it was good then of course.

They will get you high, but it will not be anything like spice.. Its not as simple as just buying herbs and than mixing them together and bam you got a spice clone..

Everything is in a ratio and no one has really figured it out yet.. Not to mention that there are extracts of these herbs in spice aswell, and who knows how strong the extracts are.. So creating your own spice mix would be rather difficult

The guy in Smokers Heaven knows his stuff. The Market Place in the Lanes and the Guarana Bar are also home to well informed staff though (and have more choice). The smoothies from the Guarana Bar are awesome.

Spice Gold - good stuff. Although doesn't really burn very well.
