Better Living Through Chemistry Discussions of any and all sorts of mind-warping chemicals, pills, booze, mind machines, trippy stuff, current street prices, importing pharmaceuticals, smart drugs, nutrients, herbs, and altered states. Please try to keep your conversations "theoretical" in nature, since this is an open conference.

Default poppy pods

Is there anyway to tell if a poppy pod has been chemically dried or somehow sprayed with chemicals? Recently i bought some poppy pods down by the SF flower mart and both times that I ingested the tea I experienced slight stomach cramps and pains... Is this a usual side effect of the tea? Or is there a good chance they have been sprayed with chemicals? IF they were sprayed, what harm does one face ingesting them??
