Is Vista Gay?
Ya so I just got another computer because my other crapped out, im not all that computer savy here so maybe people here can give me a hand. I just installed halflife 2 and CS:S and the fps is complete shit, even on the lowest settings. and my set up is decent as far as I can understand, 320 GB, 3 Gb of ram, but I hear that vista is a piece, if I install XP again will it help with playing games better. Im already hating vista for all the little things it changed.

Re: Is Vista Gay?
I'm running Vista x64 bit and am having 0 problems. Its actually better than xp. Anyone who says vista sucks probably doesn't know enough about it to make that sort of a judgment.
And they need to stop bawwwwing.

I had problems playing stuff with aero on, turned it off on one user account that I use for gaming. Other than that not much you can do. Am I wrong?

Trolling? What the hell are you talking about sir? I just built a rig that includes the following:
Q6600 G0 stepping
Palit 9600gt 512 700mhz
4gb of OCZ reaper DDR2 ram (which I plan to buy another 4gb of, and why I use vista x64, so it recognizes 8gb of ram)
evga 780i motherboard
and the Samsung f1 750gb.
Vista x64 runs flawlessly on my rig. No slowdown whatsoever. However when I had it on my old rig with an AMD 3700+, 7800gtx and 1gb of DDR ram. It did not run so hot. Vista x64 is amazing because it recognizes 8gb of ram and is a nice change of pace.

I agree with you hellion, I've had absolutely no problems with Vista minus my RAM issue and considering I've got 2g already it's not really affecting it in a negative way. I'm more familiar with XP, so I'll still back it up, but Vista, with the right equipment surpasses it by leaps and bounds.
So, if you don't like Vista, quit bitching about it and get XP SP2
