evaporating 2ce solution?
I got some 2ce in a solution of water but I'm not sure how stable 2ce is...I want to reduce the volume, is it ok to just heat it straight without ruining it or how should I do it?

Re: evaporating 2ce solution?
Gently heat it. Just put it in a shallow dish and set it on top of a TV or monitor or DVD player, and the heat coming off that will evaporate it. Using an oven you risk decomp if you go too high. I don't know HOW high you have to go, but the method I described is the safest quickest way to do it without losing product.
The key is having as large a dish as possible with as little lip on it as possible.
I would avoid direct heat if I were you, just to be safe.

Re: evaporating 2ce solution?
check melting/decomp point on phikal and set oven lower?
dunno if this would work...

I don't recall PIHKAL having that info. An MSDS would though.

Preheat oven to "warm" or whatever the lowest is
Turn off oven
Stick in pyrex baking dish of solution
