Are there any guides on those sites for more modern dish network stuff or is it just for that specific reciever box?

Dishnetwork and bell expressvu use the same nagra 2 software how ever they use diffrent keys the onlything that changes in the process of setting up the dish and the receivers is rather then pointing your dish at nimiq one and useing a single LNB you will want to get a dish with 2 lnb's with pre spaced for "110" and "119" a great site for pointing your dish is http://www.dishpointer.com/ 110 is echostar 8,10 and 119 is echostar 7

you don't have to hit both birds but if you want more channels you should ..

the other change is when doing the receiver setup instead of selecting nimiq 1 select echostar 8 and 10 if your pointing at 110 or echostar 7 if 119

and instead of inserting the BEV keys you input the Dish keys


so basically

• Need to point dish at 110 or 119
• need to select dishnet birds rather bev

• instead of inputing bev keys input DN keys

also on the f2atv fourms there are files for other receivers as well and receiver guides that explains how to access the nagra 2 settings each fta set top box has a diffrent way designed by the coders for example the Arzia .bins you have to goto menu press the information button then select parental controls and push 2004

Got a source of (free) files for a pansat 2500a (my box is usng the LZMA boot)?
I got 260 now, but it don't work Can't find 262 for it. The site that talked me into a subscription doesn't have it.

Why in in gods green earth would you pay for Free to air bin files :P

Is your 2500a been converted to PUFF yet ? if so i got the 263 bin iff not i shall walk you through the steps

my box is PUFF. <- notice the dot, not just puff, but the LZMA version of puff.

It seems they've already stopped making the LZMA bins. Anyway, the box won't take any updates now through the serial for some reason, so I guess I need to do a jtag update. I've been too lazy to make a cable for it.

They will be sending out new access cards starting in June, so my 2500s days are probably numbered, but I imagine it will take some time to get 20 million+ cards sent out and activated so they can shut off nagra2.

yeah i think n2 to n3 intergration is going to be a while yet...

and yeah sorry i am not upto date on pansat :P but your right

but as for jtaging a pansat sorry i have no experiance ... just coolsat and ariza jtag as i have fuxed both :P

I did DirecTV back in the old H/HU days. Had an emulator set up and all.

Seems like too much maintenance to keep the new systems up and running.
