How come I don't see elves or dragons?
Whenever I do hallucigens, I never see elves, ants on the floor, or shit like that. My distance perceiving ability will be off and it seems like the walls are breathing and shit, but I never see like spirits that talk to me or any of that. What makes people think they see these things?

1. They took a different drug than you.
2. They took a higher dose than you.
3. They are lying to try and act cool.

Re: How come I don't see elves or dragons?
The most powerful acid trip i had I didnt see elves or that shit.
But my mind did induce a 8 hour fireworks show that literally made my eyes feel like they were burning intensely and made me think i was gonna blind or have shitty vision afterwards CEV's were to intense so I kept my eyes open the whole time..
Litterally puked the first time i tried to enjoy the CEV's

Re: How come I don't see elves or dragons?
These are stereotypical hallucinations, that non drug users expect to see. Ive been using hallucinigins since i was 13 (now 20), i saw my tv turn into a dragon nd 1 whale while i thought i was on ocean but i was on an air matress (both on dxm) but thats the only living things ive ever hallucinated. Tracers, swirls, walls and colors breathing, seeing the earth move, peoples face melting are more common hallucinations. Dissassociatives are the most likely candidates for seeing full blown hallucinations of living things that arent there. In my experience Lsd mushies mescaline and the 2cX's your hallucinations just build off things that are really there. If you friends are claiming to see elves and dragons they are prolly pulling your chain. Its not impossible but its unlikely.

Re: How come I don't see elves or dragons?
Most common hallucinogens won't produce such visuals you are seeking. Order some DMT and that should do it for you, I seen a garden gnome scraping lint balls into a pile on my floor once on a high dose. Its was actually very very disturbing and I don't think I was quite prepared for it, sort of almost threw me into a bad trip but I worked myself out of it.

Generally shit like that people associate with DMT, but by no means does that mean that you will see elves or dragons on DMT. It's just that when you hear all these people say they saw elves it's ingrained in your mind that you will see them and because of that your mind will have you see what you expect to see during the DMT trip.

You don't really see hallucu=inations on acid or shroom. You see distortions of things, but you don't really see things that aren't there - like dragons and shit.

Re: How come I don't see elves or dragons?
An hallucination is when you think something is real, like thinking there really are spiders all over your skin. And everyone can see them, but not really.
Visual distortions are what you REALLY get from most drugs. Seeing shit that isn't real is actually not near as fun as it sounds, trust me.

Re: How come I don't see elves or dragons?
Somewhere in the word "hallucination" is the word "truth". Next time you drop some acid or munch on some shrooms, just keep repeating "hallucination" to yourself. You'll get it.
treating these substances as "hallucinogens", or chemicals producing fantasies of the mind really do a disservice to them. By calling something a hallucination you put up a barrier between yourself and the experience. This isn't going to lead to any sort of growth, understanding, or enlightenment. If you don't accept whatever is happening as completely and totally real as anything else you're fooling yourself.
So what if there are spiders crawling all over you? Investigate it. Be aware of it. Observe. Don't react. Don't judge it. Just let it be.
It is completely possible to have visions of otherworldly or just strange things, but this just means that your mind is cluttered with a bunch of crap. Stop focusing on mundane human concerns, and soon enough your "subconscious" will stop producing weird images.
My subconscious has dredged up visions of spongebob and the goombas from mario. Why? Who knows? But once I stopped thinking, they went away and I started perceiving pure energy.

Try closing your eyes next time. I find if I'm on hallucinogens with my eyes open I just tend to see distortions of what I'm actually seeing. If I close my eyes it's basically like dreaming, but awake. You see all sorts of things.

The only time I've perceived other people was on prescribed sleeping meds. Ambien. There were multiple people in my room. The power and activity lights on my computer. For whatever reason, they were entities.

Re: How come I don't see elves or dragons?
The only drugs I've done that actually caused me to see things that didn't exist or have a base to distort off of were the deliriants like Benedryl and Imovane.
The thing that bugs me most about this whole thread is that you were expecting to see shit like that and seem to have wanted to as if that was the point of taking hallucinogens. Sorry if I've misunderstood your post however.

I base the fact that i've never seen that shit on a firm grounding in reality.
I do not like this reality though, far too abstract. :)

Re: How come I don't see elves or dragons?
If you want to trip the fuck out go enjoy some Datura...O_O
I only did it once, but it was fucked:
1) My computer keyboard appeared on the floor, I kept pressing the "escape" button to "get it out of here" but it only melted into the hardwood, eventually I was seeing through the hardwood and the keyboard was under it. (Like looking at something underneath a sheet of ice)
2) My friends stepdad, who wasn't even there- walked out of a wall and told us to go to bed because he had to get up in the morning. I was horrified the rest of the night that I was going to make some loud noise to disturb him.
Pretty stupid since he was 30 minutes away in a different house!

Re: How come I don't see elves or dragons?
Take 160mgs of diphen (tylenol pm)
You may not like what you see, but you will see shit.
Crazy colorful patterns, giant spiders on your wall, millions of flies swarming on your windows, shadow people, etc etc.
I actually enjoyed it.
Just as a note, if you take to much diphen, then you are guaranteed to have an absolute train wreck of a trip. Also the two times I did it I was also coming down of some e pills, that must of had some type of hallucinogen in them, so that could of potentiated the effects a lot.

Diphen was nothing like I expected it to be. The incessant ants/flies/spiders you really do see, and even though they are true hallucinations, you still feel intoxicated.
I felt like my brain was being pushed/prodded to talk to the imaginary friends, like I had no control, I just HAD to talk to these people. I'd see stuff in front of me and it would appear human, but I knew deep down it was all fake.

Re: How come I don't see elves or dragons?
two words: take more
One time when I took 3 rolls with my friend, I looked outside at this pine tree in my backyard, THE ENTIRE FUCKING THING WAS A FUCKING ROBOT MONSTER. It was mouthing curses, singing with the music and everything. My friend was laughing his balls off when I told him about it, this hallucination was the biggest thing I ever saw that was percieved out of something in real life. Take something like salvia now and you will see a dragon/monster of infinet proportions.
It was a cool robot monster though.....

Yeah, the most un-imaginable experience ever. I seen stuff that night that I'd never believe was even possible to see.
It was from a online source , which no longer offers products due to some serious mental problems hes developed by what he told me.

not true.
first time I tried it, me and my friend took 24 each, and had a fuckin crazy trip. it was the only positive experience I've had on diphen though, and all the subsequent trips were horrible, even on much lower doses. now whenever I take it, I get this feeling I can only describe as "the feeling," and it is incredibly uncomfortable and definitely not fun.
that first trip was insane though. I saw a paper clip climb out of my garbage can, dance and bend around on the rim, and then jump back in.
I also talked to/hung out with numerous friends that apparently never came anywhere near my house that night.
it was a mind-fuck to say the least.

This is actually really good advice. Too many people jump into things without first clearing their mind of all preconceptions, negative energy, and other daily drudgeries. It can be hard to let go, but it turns out better in the long run.
