i hear some people roll this into balls and smoke it, other dispose of it. i hear it contains no thc, some say it does. is it tar, resin, weed poop?

so im asking, is there a totsean consensus on what it is and if it actually gets you high?

it seems dirty/bad to smoke but once a while back i rolled a bunch into a marble sized ball and smoked it and got blazed, now, i cant tell wether it was the placebo affect or what.

i can see why people say it contains no thc becuase it seems to be burned plant tar, but, the smoke hits the side of the pipe like it hits your lung so i guess if thc is absorbed by your lung it could be retained in the tar.

regardless its dirty and not fun to smoke, but in a pinch is it acceptable?

I'd say it's just the same as roach weed, which gets me just as high as fresh weed would. I've never scraped my bowls, but if I notice a build up in my bowl I just try and smoke it without any weed in it.

when you are fiending for some THC smoking your resin is alright, but you will need more than a pinch to get a buzz going

It's build up of the oil you inhale. It's very potent.

we call is "resin-hitting" and you just have to hold the flame to the bowl of the pipe or whatever for a little longer and move it around the edges
but if you want you can put the lighter to the carb and use your thumb in the hole the weed normally goes in as a carb, it works pretty well

I got a lil 10" the down tube id say is about an inch or less around.

The tube also extends all the way to the bottom of the water area like a cm of room between it and the bottom

If you scrape a huge bong after 100 uses, or save up a lot from your pipe you can vaporize it rather efficiently using a lightbulb vape or similar, since the heat distributes evenly among the resin. That's what I used to do however, and it works like a charm, just that you'll need to a lot of it. The resin I got from BC bud is better then most hash I can get here in Norway atleast. I'd scrape out the resin anyway because I liked to keep my pipe clean. Its funny because you can see the resin start bubling and small vapor puffs coming out of the bubbles. Vaporizing anything but resin or hash oil doesn't work all that well, unless you have a hot air vaporizer such as the volcano.

my standard procedure when dealing with pipe resin is as follows.

soak pipe in 90% iso alcohol, should disolve a considerable amount of the shit in the pipe, next pour a little bit of alcohol into the pipe, cover holes and shake the hell out of it to knock out whats left, i repeat until im happy with how clean it is... collect all of the alcohol you use to wash it with in a container. filter the solution through something, nothing extreme a tee shirt or a cotton cloth will work well enough, make sure you don't want to ever use it again though... once you filter that black looking liquid should be something around that of the color of bourbon. looks much less disgusting... it helps if whatever you are going to do the evap on has a flat bottom like a pyrex dish, bring some water almost to a boil, pour this water into a larger pyrex dish, place pyrex dish with the alcohol into this hot water, the alcohol will evaporate off leaving the THC... replace the water with hot water periodically, good to have decent ventilation and do the hot water bath away from any flame of extreme heat source... do not evaporate in the microwave...

once all of the alcohol has evaporated off its easiest to smoke if you mix this stuff with keif, or finely ground weed to give it a puddy consistency... or take a bit of it and disolve in a shot...

oh and another note, if you were to do this with some ever clear, it would be fine to drink... clean pipe, filter out the little bits of plant matter and ash, drink... no guarantees on taste but it would work...

They never used to have bud in Norway, however there has been a spike in the amount of bud available in the last couple years. However most of it is crappy and worse then soap bar. If you've got good connects you can get decent/great hash though, so its really no problem. What I was trying to say, is if you have a gram of resin from good bud, the resin is very good quality. If you smoke 30 grams bud and scrape up a gram of resin, that resin is likely more powerful then a gram of that same bud.

Save up all your roaches and all of your bowl resin. Throw the leftover weed and paper that looks yellowish or saturated at the bottom of a bowl, and roll up a nice res bowl on top. The paper and weed will burn quickly, but if you get a decent size res ball, you'll be smoking yourself silly for a good and long time.

Yes, it's more concentrated, and will get you higher than the weed you made it with.

nothing beats good nuggets but how do you get resin out of the bong, that tar is what the bong water removes, how can this be anywhere in the bong beside the slide? has anyone who owns a bong ever noticed a buildup on the actual tube? i have not.

I scraped my pipes once 'cause I was out of town and out of weed and didn't know anybody there. I got high, but the taste made it not worth it. That shit is nasty.

there's no shame in smoking resin.

tips:

-use a unfolded, straightened paperclip with about a 1/8" piece bent off at a 90* angle at one end, to scrape with.

-run hot water through your piece before scraping it, it makes the resin come up in globs and not just stick to the scraping tool

-resin sticks to your fingers and whatever else it comes into contact with. rub your fingers together to rub the resin off them into little balls.

-mix resin with dried, powdered weed until you can't mix any more in and still have it stick together in a ball. then break it up into little pieces and smoke it on top of a bit of weed as a screen.
