Boiling my pipe
Well, I guess I should have made this thread earlier, but for whatever reason, I threw my all metal pipe in a pot of water to boil the tar out of it. Now the house reeks of weed (well more of a tar smell, but whatever, I dont care. It smells nice:))
Anyways, now the water is a light piss yellow (more golden, depends on the light I guess.) with a beautiful black and brown ring of tar around the inside of pot.
So now my questions:
Was this a good idea or did I just waste all of the resin that had collecting in my pipe? Or will it all leave the pipe and stick somewhere else (like the side of the pot)?
Will I be able to collect it easily off the side of the pot? Will the pot ever come clean?

Re: Boiling my pipe
dont boil your pieces, use nail polish remover.
and, no the resin isnt worth collecting if its that diluted. just hope you can scrub it off your mom's pots.

Re: Boiling my pipe
Well, now everything has been boiled away, and all that is left is a ring of black/brown stuff around the pot. Ive tried scraping with my knife, it takes off the brown/black tar on the sides of the pot but in little chunks. But the stuff that im really interested in is at the bottom. Its a golden substane all around the bottom of the pan there is these like ridges of golden substance. Pretty much the whole bottom of the pan is ocvered in gold and its slightly sticky, but dryed on so removing it by knife is a long and not very economistic way of getting it all out of the pot.
So will acetone take off all the crap off the afflicted pot that I want to take off? If so, then how do I smoke it?

Re: Boiling my pipe
So this is the question I would like answer to:
Will acetone take off all the crap off the afflicted pot that I want to take off? If so, do I throw it or smoke it? If I can smoke it, how?
