If it's there to begin with you are fucked anyway. Heating it KILLS it. You heat it, it doesn't magically come back to life. As long as your shit is clean and sterile, and you take proper precautions, it is totally safe. Preloads are perfectly fine, I've done it myself. If you end up getting hurt, it is from your own stupidity in sterilizing things, NOT because the shit sat for an extra couple hours dissolved in some water.

It depends on what youre shooting. With junk, when the water is warm, everything dissolves a lot more easily. When it cools, a lot of stuff precipitates out, but I guess if its already gone through the cotton, it should be filtered out anyway. But little chunks can form in the cold water if it doesnt get in your bloodstream right away, and Ive seen some nasty looking gunk in points that people lube with spit. So dont. Itd be better just to fix completely at one time.
