Fedora zip installation.
Hi!
I'm wondering if anyone can help me here, I'm running Fedora Core 8, and I'm trying to get Limewire installed on my machine.
Basically, I have no clue how to. I have all the Java crap installed, and I had a go at running it from my NTFS partition with Wine, but it says it wants the Java runtime environment, so I guessed I can't run it that way, So I downloaded it from the Limewire site, but it only has Ubuntu and Debian packages, leaving me with a simple zip file to install it from. I can extract it from there, and run it, but every time I start it up again it goes back to the first boot thingie, implying to me it isn't installed properly.
So, can anyone help me with tips on how to install things onto Fedora from a zip. I'm guessing I need to make an RPM, but I can't remember how to do that either.
Any help would be appreciated, cause then I'll be able to install many other things that aren't in the standard or livna yum repositories.
