| Better Living Through Chemistry Discussions of any and all sorts of mind-warping chemicals, pills, booze, mind machines, trippy stuff, current street prices, importing pharmaceuticals, smart drugs, nutrients, herbs, and altered states. Closed Threads!
Alright, I don't normally care about this shit.
But last night, I wrote an excited thread about deprivation tanks, asking for advice from others that have done this, and I was also trying to spark some sort of new interest or at least some discussion of something a little different.
I searched the forums for 20 minutes reading every word trying to find the right forum to post my thread in so that it wouldn't get closed... I found that BLTC was the spot. So I posted.
This morning I wake to find that some FUCK of a moderator has locked my thread... not moved it to somewhere more appropriate, just, locked it without a post on WHY! (cowardly?)
I don't give a fuck ... I posted something that matters to me, and apparently it matters to a few other BLTC members (the ones that were able to post quickly before my thread was closed)
Thanks BLTC for putting my thread to shame and instead of moving it (like you did the drug rap by internet-weed-dude)

Re: Closed Threads!
Yeah, I agree locking the thread was a shit-move on someones part. I would have said something, if given the chance.
And I believe that its very BLTC related.
Edit - not even one person complained that it wasn't BLTC related. It looks like lots of forum members were interested by that particular topic.

See... I wasn't so sure that it was BLTC related... that is why I spent 20 minutes looking for a fitting forum... and there isn't one... infact the description in BLTC says "altered states" so that is by far close enough for me.
I wasn't spamming, I wasn't trolling... I wrote several paragraphs about something I have wanted to do for a long time, and apparently people were interested.
I never even fucking SEE mods in this forum unless someone is posting sources or someone is dead.
BLTC is dead...

Yes, and I have heard that depriving the senses causes certain changes in a persons body, changes their body's chemistry, builds up DMT, etc...
So it would defiantly be BLTC.
And yeah, this thread gets locked while IWD's gets moved? Thats dumb.

Re: Closed Threads!
Please don't make threads about a closed thread. If you have an issue with a thread one of us closes, please email us instead. You'd be surprised as we are very open to reviewing our descisions.
Normally I would have ended this post here and lock this thread. However, I did look at the thread again - this time I opened it [normally I just check the summery as opening every thread does get tedious]. That doesn't always give me the full idea of the thread and sometimes - like this time - I simply mis read what it was about.
You are right, tanks are fit subject matter for this forum and I have reopened the thread.
Sorry I closed it on you.
But please, next time just email me, ok?
[I will leave this open for a little while in case there are any other comment.]

Re: Closed Threads!
Just one more thing Meta- if you could please just have the mods right a short reply as to why they closed a thread instead of a magic "lock" that would be cool.
And for non-trolling posts, locks are preferable to deletions simply because us pre-drastic-forum-change folk are still used to having posts simply be eaten by the software. Locks (with a short reply as to why the thread may have been inappropriate) let us know what could have been done differently.
T'sall. In general this forum is very clean with good moderation.

Re: Closed Threads!
Meta... I totally would have just emailed you... but you left no sign of yourself in the thread... I saw no sign of ANY moderator in there... just "closed"
If I had have known that a certain mod HAD looked at my thread then I would have emailed them... but couldn't.
And as for this thread... I want THIS THREAD CLOSED... because it IS pointless.
I just kind of want to see respect when it comes to what people have written... I am sure you understand.
If you could re-open my thread about deprivation tanks, that would be great... If it falls to the bottom and no one cares... then it is meant to be. But closing a worthy thread with several posts just doesn't seem fair.
You are forgiven hahahaa.

Re: Closed Threads!
Dude, I reopened it before I replied to this thread...
As for deleted threads, we don't - usually - delete threads unless they are total troll threads or something.
And now I will close this.
