Nub question. when do you stop heating the crystal. When is the crystal finished? should ya stop smoking before it goes brown or what? I just seem to think the meth prolly would've burnt off a little before it goes brown?

are you kidding? the crystal is finished when there is nothing there. first it turns into a puddle and then eventually it is all vaporized. THAT is when you are done. If what your smoking goes brown you're not smoking meth, unles you're some idiot that got ripped off and bought cut meth.

well i'd smoke it until whatever brown that's left is dry/solid. it probably wont matter too much if you inhale a bit of it, better that then wasting product i guess.

I'm assuming you mean the resin on the inside of the pipe, and you can smoke that shit anytime you want.

I probably smoked more resin than actual meth, because I am a bum and its so expensive round here, I just leach off of the resin in my friend's pipes.

Anyway good meth should not turn brown unless you are smoking the last drop of it and even then its just this very small brown dot at the bottom.

Ive had some meth that didnt even leave that.

This is my first post in like over a year... But I just figured I'd help, being high out of my mind.

There are many techniques to smoking dope out of a pipe, which can be learned from watching different people and asking them advice while you smoke. If someone turns you on and you don't know how to smoke, tell them that you don't want to waste their dope so they should tell you how they want you to smoke it.

Dope can be wasted very easily by the heating and cooling down process, but I'm too lazy to explain any details - You'll learn from experience - Everyone does. It's a first-hand type of thing.

Almost all of the good dope I have turns a golden/amber color after being hit a few times when there's a nice sized puddle... And I've been smoking dope for a very long time with people who have been smoking for a very long time.

There's also a difference between an amber-ish puddle and brown stains. Keeping a low, weak and steady blue flame will minimize brown stains. Those stains cannot be smoked, don't come out with waterbacks, and begin to waste your dope eventually. Dope pipes go by like nothing(air freshener+torch), It's best to just keep a nice clean pipe or two on hand and get rid of the dirty ones... Dirty dope pipes suck and aren't even worth cleaning if you're into it and know what you're doing.

Over here, we call that waterback.
You can wash the pipe with a small puddle of water or alcohol, then boil the liquid down in the bowl while blowing the steam out. It's acually an easy and quick process, and if you evaporate it the right way, the waterbacks can be just as good as the dope smoked out of the pipe. You can either do that, or scrape it down into the bowl - but that method is less effective... Hey, if you're fiending, you could even do both... Or waterback mass amounts of empty baggies... :D
