OTC sleepiness.
Im trying to kick smoking dope a bit, but it was my best friend before bed and now I have nothing. Im pretty tight on cash and stuff, but is there anything I can buy OTC that will get me proper drowzy without having to eat fifteen of them. Ive seen some BS looking herbal remedies with Valerian in them, does anyone know if this herb is remotely decent, id like to stick to something natural if I could, but it isnt necessary.

Re: OTC sleepiness.
Theres nothing like a good beer or glass of wine while you are in bed about to fall asleep. I would go with a beer before sleeping medicine or those herbs you are looking for.
But, like someone said valerian root may work, kava kava extract works, and I'm sure GNC or a healthfood store has a pretty big selection of herbal supplements to help you get to sleep.

Re: OTC sleepiness.
I drink a tea of valerian and blue lotus, after taking 3mg of melatonin chased with a shot of vodka. Always get a good nights sleep, and never feel drowsy in the morning.

Re: OTC sleepiness.
Try SleepMD. I only need to take one (I would try one at first, then if you don't start feeling drowsy within 30-60min take one more) for it to work, and work really well.
It contains a combination of all the best natural (And only natural) ingredients like Melatonin, Valerian, Lavender, etc.
I use to try most of the ingredients one by one before finding out about SleepMD and they wouldn't work as well, so I tried the SleepMD for the heck of it anyway and it really does work, at least for me. It's worth a shot! And it can be found at just about any drug store (OTC).
List of ingredients and other useful info at: http://www.sleepmdhealth.com/supplement_facts.shtml
Hope that helps!
Take care and be safe!
ONE.

Re: OTC sleepiness.
Valerian and all that herbal shit is mostly BS. The only sleeping pills OTC are antihistamines, get a box of benadryl or unisom (diphenhydramine). Take 100mg, trust me it'll work.

Re: OTC sleepiness.
Valerian does actually work, maybe it's just me but I wanted to try out the effectiveness of these herbal sleep aids so I brewed up a cup of valerian tea, and I was asleep about 20 minutes after drinking it.
If you don't want herbal stuff though, for a guaranteed OTC sleep:
25mg doxylamine
50mg diphenhydramine
4mg melatonin
Good night nurse.

Re: OTC sleepiness.
I keep it simple using chamomile tea and melatonin. 3-4 mg does the trick.

Re: OTC sleepiness.
yea I can usually get some zopiclone from my mom when I can't sleep, I can take one in the evening and go to sleep fairly early, or just take 2-3 and it knocks me out in less than an hour. shitty metallic taste in your mouth the next morning tho.
I wouldn't rule out just blazing to get to sleep. When I quit for awhile I wouldn't blaze till I was actually in bed, and then I would doze right off. so your only stoned like 10-15 minutes each day, and it's not like you can accomplish anything while your lying in bed trying to fall asleep.
