Default Match Burning Green??

How would a match burn green?

And this isn't just at the sulfate(phosphate??), I had one match that was 2 inches of bright green, with just a very small inner bit of blue hugging the wood.

Green flames are usually due to copper, though I suppose it could be something else.

How would a match burn green?

Step 1 : pack green in bowl.

Step 2 : light match.

Step 3 : hold match over green.

Step 4 : inhale.

Crush off the red powder at the end of a normal match stick, make sure it a fine powder.
Then use a bank card to form a line of powder, proceed to snort the powder up your nose.

In the sense of a pun, yes - by definition.

...the actual answer probably involves trace metals in one of the inks or dyes used, or in the treatment of the wood... but, yes... if you are smoking a bowl, you are, in fact, burning green. ;)

Well, you are asking about chemistry on a drugs forum. Sadly the two do not go hand in hand here to the extent they should ;)

the reason your match is burning green is because the company that makes them put copper salts in the tip and the stick of the match. i'm guessing the match is painted, right?

why would you ask that here? this is about drug chemistry and its effects on the brain not compositon/chemistry of matches.
