Hypothetical: Self Medication - Stop feeling emotions.
How would I go about not feeling emotions, or just dulled emotions? Lithium carbonate?

Re: Hypothetical: Self Medication - Stop feeling emotions.
why would you even want to?
I havent read alot into them, but it seems to be a side effect of alot of anti depressants, anti psychotics, and hell even acutane...

As I have stopped & started Cigs 100's of times?
Tobacco will inhibit emotions, along with a lot of other nerve functions.
There is of course: a price to pay for using the tobac.

Are you really recommending that he watch a lot of Madman McCain/Hillary Clintstone/Bam Bam Obama until he is badly damaged & numb? Isn't that a bit harsh? :(

Re: Hypothetical: Self Medication - Stop feeling emotions.
You could take moderate doses of DXM. It does the trick quite nicely. Don't let it go to your head though or you might end up in some trouble later on down the road.

it sounds as if you dont wanna see a doctor, and, unless your a rich bastard, theres no way you can afford buying seroquel antidepressents, benzos, or opiates off the street.

Fuck all that shit, man. Just smoke yourself indifferent. I can recall countless instances of scenarios that should have had me emotional but didn't because I was constantly comatose by cannabis.

sleep. It's really the best way to go when you're depressed. Pop some Ambien or some other sleep aid and sleep your day away.

Mirtazapime seems to flatten moods quite well. You still feel stuff, but it doesent matter so much.

Is this a joke? My emotions are multiplied 10X on DXM, it's insane.

Escapism isn't medication ... it won't do anything to fix your problems. Eventually, it will make them worse.
For this, I would prescribe a hefty dose of: Deal With It.
Thats a much better medicine.

Re: Hypothetical: Self Medication - Stop feeling emotions.
With most anti depressants you will feel anxiety, and with most anxiety medications if you have bad depression it makes it worse, specially benzos. For some peeps at least. Im not going to recommend heroin or oxycodone to anyone, cuz you will be dead to the world for a moment but when you get off of it you will be askign this saem question. Thorazine shuffle maybe.

Re: Hypothetical: Self Medication - Stop feeling emotions.
A few nights up on speed and then a few more popping Seroquel had the effect of leaving me in a zombie state for a week. I dunno, I would rather get some oxy and feel good and not care about anything then feel nothing.
