So, I've begun taking tramadol lately. I've really noticed that its a great drug.

Anyway, I've got a few questions that Erowid couldn't really answer.

I read on Wikipedia that it is 10% as potent as morphine, is this true?

What is a good recreational dose?

Is railing this stuff effective?

Is shooting this stuff safe?

I dunno i never bothered snorting or shooting it. Ive been prescribed it multiple times. At first 5 or 6 would get me high, towards the end of my opiate career It took 15. (50mg pills)

If you had a mg scale i'd say open up one of those little yellow and green capsules and weigh it, if it was approximately 50mgs, then you could definately shoot it, otherwise, NO :)

You can't fucking shoot tramadol, not unless you get the injectable vials from grunenthal. The pills will gel up the second that any water hits them. The shit in the capsules is the same. For fucks sake, if you don't know what you're talking about don't say anything. Trying to shoot the pills can actually be fairly dangerous.

It is however pretty fucking recreational. It's a mid-range opiate like high that has longer legs. I'd give 500mg a go, that's where I started.

just FYI 200-300mg some expirence sezuires, so if you have a history of them be careful, maybe take a valium with your dose?

I got those when I first went to the doc for a legit injury....I took them for a week before I complained and then got hydrocodone, which I've been on (without a dose increase, I might add) for the last 13 months.

Anyhow, Tramadol is similar to Propoxyphene; not scientifically or pharmacologically, but in the fact that it takes an almost toxic dose to get anywhere recreationally.

Like somebody mentioned above, it causes seizures in some patients.

I've got a couple friends who seem to like them....for me, the 'buzz' associated with Tramadol is mostly placebo.

2. Good recreational dose for someone with no tolerance is 100-150mg's.

3. No, it's not effective.

4. No unless you have the tramadol ampoules. It's pointless though since it has to take like an hour to metabolize into O-desmethyltramadol which is responsible for the opiate effects. You'd just get a quick SNRI/SRI effect.

That's just what you've experienced. I've never gotten nausea or vomiting from it, even when taken on an empty stomach.

Many people on BLTC say they suck because they think there cool since they use Oxy and become addicts. However Tramadol for many people is very enjoyable. I wouldn't recommend snorting or shooting it, and if you have no opiate tolerance a 200-250mg dose is a good place to start. I have a long experience with this stuff 2+ years, I wouldn't keep using it if it wasn't so good. It is a bit hard to pee but no big deal. Also, when beginning, don't mix with alcohol, but you can after a few times of use. As well, cigarettes potenate them quite a deal, even if you don't smoke. I have experience with hydrocodone and oxycodone and even though tramadol is not as strong, it lasts average 6-8 hour plateu which makes every day a great day. Tolerence will build fast, but take a few day break and your back to baseline. Also, extremely easy to get off the net, so thats a plus. Give it a try, you may love it, if not, no big deal, atleast you gave it a shot.
