Not much, but it will have some effect. Smoke some weed and drink a couple of shots/beers with it.

Nope. It would hit you quicker, but wouldn't actually be any more intense. But the oral bioavailability of benzos is so damn high anyway that there's no point in doing so. Just eat it; you're not gonna be 'fucked up' from it anyway.

Yeah I've taken 10mg for actual pain relief before, and still had fucking pain. So to quote happyonehitter, you're not going to be "fucked up."

However, if you ignore the nay sayers, the placebo effect might make you think you are.

What the fuck are you talking about? And no, it's not a muscle relaxant, it's a benzodiazepine. Plain and simple.

OMG.Stop talking. If you look up benzos, almost every1 will say antidepressant.Depression and anxiety are really fucking close, and some times are in the same category.Thats why youll always see anti anxiety/depression if you look up benzos.Ive only been taking them for 5 years now I must be talking out of my ass. When you buy them thats why theyre all listed under one category.Anti-anxiety/depression.It is an anti-anxiety,and antidepressant. It really works different on every1,and thats why theyre are always so closely related.

I don't think i've ever met someone who would tell me benzos are anti-depressants before they'd tell me they're anti-anxiety. anxiety and depression are similar, you're right. but still.

i want him off totse too, but hes actually right on this one. benzos arent technically antidepressents, meaning they dont act on neurotransmitters that attribute to uplifted moods.

but, if you have anxiety/panic attack problems, benzos will negate this, and in turn make you happier. its a bit of a stretch.

anyway, i vote ban internet-weed-faggot.

Man like I said, labels and everything are changing.Im prescribed v's specifically for depression. Some people who take it get depressed, like I said, everyones different.I know its labeled as mostly ant-anxiety,but come on,you know its got about 20 other different purposes.Xanax does the opposite,it makes me depressed. So I guarantee all these symptom names are gunna keep changin over and over again.I know its listed as ant-anxiety,but if you look, its one of the best chemicals for anti-depression.Im prescribed it,like I said,I know what it does, and those symptom labels are gunna keep changing.

Why does everyone have to get all scientific and just post info from shit they looked up.Id rather hear from people with personal experiences than reading what supposed to happen from a book or a website.I know its an anti-anxiety dude, but i bet theyre gunna change these categories around. Why do I get prescribed valium for depression then? What am I feeling a placebo effect?Sometimes you gotta throw the scientific bullshit out the door. These categories get switched around every year and the drugs that are in them.

dude i know what you mean with the first hand experience thing, thats great and all, but...

i have taken valium and ativan (a close relative of valium) for anxiety/panic attacks, and i have never felt any antidepressant effects.

but i could see why youd be prescribed valium for depression. if you have a very anxiety-related case of depression, and your depression comes from high levels of anxiety, valium could be the right drug for you. however, cases like this are less common than regular depression cases

Exactly. All I was pointing out that there is a very thin line between the anxiety and depression drugs. Some depression drugs are taken for anxiety and vice versa.Everybody gets different effects. It does work as an anti anxiety on me totally but I take it more for the depression.Anxiety and depression are very similar.I think we pretty much summed this all up so back to the banhammer part.

Since were all talking valium here I got a question. I get this weird taste/feeling on my tongue the day after I take valium and it lasts for a few days. Its a bitch to eat or drink anything cause it just tastes soo... weird, in a bad way. I haven't taken them since.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

xxdark, or whatever your name is. Anyone could make that arguement with almost any drug.

Opiates could be prescribed for depression by your theory. Because of the increase of serotonin, and some people suffer from diminished serotonin syndrome because they can not produce enough on their own.

The fact of the matter is, there are drugs specifically made to combat certain symptoms. Valium isn't designed nor regularly prescribed for depression. Sure, a doctor could do it, like in your case if you depression stems from anxiety, but that DOES NOT make it an anti-depressant.

Pure and simple logic pretty much takes care of this whole argument, like many others have tried to point out. Stop fucking arguing for the sake of arguing and get your damn head out of your ass.
