I know this girl who is a meth addict. She went on probation and she has failed her probation drug tests for marijuana every single week for over a year. Her PO never sent her to juvi/jail and was chill w/ it and also w/ drinking and cigarettes. He searched her room and found meth, and then sent her to jail.

This makes me really really happy, but what I've realized is that this PO probally realized that hard drug addicts can not use marijuana recreationally because it will turn to the original drug.

My mother had mandatory drug tests ordered by court for having my brother get taken because he was born with crack in his system, but her PO fudged her tests, and allowed her to continue smoking crack, so she eventually got my brother back, and nothing has gotten any better for any of it, except my mom hates me now for calling welfare on her for smoking crack while pregnant.

The reason the PO most likely gave her a slap on the wrist for the weed and sent her to jail for finding the Meth is probably relative to the fact that her original charge [that landed her on probation in the first place] most likely stemmed from or had something to do with the use, sale or promotion of Meth. Simple explanation.

And as far as probation stories go, I don't have any to share yet, I just started my 2 years about 3 months ago.

One thing I have heard though (At least where I live), is that if you are on probation, and the charge(s) have nothing to do with domestic violence or sexual assault/abuse, then as long as your PO has no complaints during your first year, they are allowed to (At their discretion) withdraw the second year; which is what I am definitely trying to shoot for.

I'm on conditions not to use drugs or drink alcohol but they don't test me for it.. i just can't get caught. before i started the probation i was on the same conditions because i had to sign a release paper or i'd stay locked up before i went to court. anyways back in the summer i got a breach and i got 7 days in jail for it.. served 4. i've been paro as fuck at bars now and i feel like im wasting my youth being on these gay fucking conditions.. but i recently started seeing my PO and she's really cool. she told me if i got a substance related breach she wouldn't send me to jail she'd try to get me help for substance problems.. so that was sweet. she kind of hinted that she doesn't care just be careful not to get caught. It's not so much they don't give a fuck but sometimes they can be considerate people and help you out if they dont think you have a big problem.

I've had my probation officer ask if I was clean, and I kind of hestitated while answering. He said be clean next time. Next time I went and took a drug test and the line was basically none existent. I talked him into passing me. He was cooler than most.

My po came by when I was taking a shit. While taking a shit I was counting my xanax. So when he announce "open up, it's your po" I was thinking clearly so I put the ziploc xanax baggy (40--50 xanax) oon the bathroom floor.

I let him in and he asked me if he can use my bathroom. I said no problem, go ahead. So he went in there and called me in there. He told me to make sure I flush the tolite after I take a shit.

There's no way he didn't see the bag of xanax. It was right infront of the tolite..

PO's here don't do much about hot urine tests, I guess they feel like there's nothing they can do. You can try to talk a drug user out of it but eventually they go back to their substance of choice. As for weed that's more socially acceptible than most anything else, most of the kind of people that are on parole smoke bud and they rarely stop.

They can be cool sometimes. But whatever you do don't trust them, and don't trust that they won't drug test you or violate you. Because the simple fact is, they are not your friend, even though they try and act like it. Right when your least expecting it they'll swoop in and fuck up your life, its their job.
