Wrong again, freebases are typically obtained by basification, not acidification. How the fuck are you going to get scientific and chemistry information from a source that talks about getting high, and then quote that source as scientific, or as if it were gospel. It most certainly isn't. Maybe the person who wrote it needs to lay off the fucking drugs, and go back to high school.

hopefully you've figured this out by now but freebasing is the chemical process of stripping an ion off of a drug's molecular structure.

this is done because the version of the drug that has this ion attached (cocaine hcl for example) has a burning point that is nearly the same as its vaporization point. this means that when you try to smoke the drug most of it gets over heated, decomposes, and is therfore wasted. but if you make the drug into a freebase, the vaporization point drops way lower than the burning point. this makes it so that you can smoke the drug without burning and losing any of it.
