-The only reason universities give out scholarships geared towards minorities is because minorities typically come from impoverished areas because of racism. Race gaps regarding wages, loan applications, job applications, and even insurance policies are pretty big even to this day. Those aren't the only reasons so many racial minorities are live in squalid conditions, but they make up a pretty large chunk of it.
