Here's my method for getting the good stuff out of Coricidin and cutting down drastically on the CPM. It's based on Delysid Dreamer's method referenced on the Extractions page of Dextroverse.org, with minor alterations for improved trip status.

This method allows you to consolidate 16 CCCs into a single capsule's worth of powder. Very little nausea, a very clean trip, and no 'gross' dosing. Enjoy!

You will need:
1 box [you can use any amount really, but plan on losing ~10% of your DXM]
1 coffee filter
2 flasks (tall glass cups work fine)
water
gel caps (optional)

1. Rinse your CCCs under cold water to get the annoying red dye off. Once the pills are white, crush them (doesn't have to be fine powder, just enough to help it dissolve) and add the powder to 3oz [per 16 pills] of cold water in one of your flasks. If you can't measure out 3oz, you should use 5-6 times the amount of water as there is powder.

2. Stir the mixture until the powder is fully dissolved. You should now have fluid that looks like skim milk. The DXM HBr molecules are colloidal in the fluid, and the CPM/fillers are dissolved in the water. If you let this fluid sit, and take a sample from the bottom with a long spoon, you should get some fine white sediment. This is your DXM. Give it another 5 or 10 minutes of occasional stirring just to make sure most/all of the CPM dissolves. A little CPM won't be too harmful, and will actually boost the trip.

3. Give the flask one last good stir and filter the fluid through the coffee filter into your other flask. This will take a while because the DXM powder tends to clog the pores in the filter. Be patient, it's worth it. When that's done, dump the fluid and keep the filter with the DXM muck on top.

4. I prefer drying the filter in the oven at 200 degrees, but you can use a hair-dryer on low speed/high heat, or even set it out in the sun if it isn't too windy. Once the filter/powder are dry, scrape the powder off the filter into a bowl and discard the filter. Taste a small amount of your product; if it is extremely bitter, you somehow screwed up and the CPM is still present. Back to square one...

5. Pack the powder into your capsules. You'll have anywhere from 350mg to 450mg, so be sure to test the waters before diving in all the way. If you don't have capsules, you can parachute the powder, or mix it into a smoothie. Have a nice trip!

Take a gram of PEG with your powder if you have it. This will greatly help absorption of the product. You can also mix the powder with lemon or lime juice and let it sit for a while to make DXM Citrate if that's your thing.

Except for my left eye's vision being weak from birth, no, no eye problems. I do have visual distortions similar to a weak dose of LSD, but I've always had that.

just watch out of the HBr Salt, at such a frequency possibility emerges for the Cl- ion to substantially become substituted via the Br- causing quite a few problems within the brain, and cause various neurological problems.
