So a few months back my gf had mono, and the doctor prescribed her a couple of bottles of lido (which she never used). Its supposed to totally numb your throat, so I got to thinking, could there be an extraction I could do on this stuff to get something really good out of it?

but lidocaine is a relatively useful thing to have depending on the form you have it in. the patches work great if your sore for example, or if you wanna shut down some pain via a nerve block. but chances are 99.999999% of BLTC shouldn't be doing that..

And IM lidocaine is perfectly fine, I do it myself to achieve local nerve block in my ankle because nothing else works for pain. IV on the other hand can be dangerous. Systemic exposure of lidocaine can really fuck you up.

Just wondering 'cause I saw on 'Cops' once, a old guy get arrested for Coke because they tested a razor blade & mirror & it came back positive.
He said (before it was tested) that it was something the doctor gave him to numb his foot before he used the razor & mirror to cut a wart off the sole of his foot, hence the mirror.
It may not have been Lidocaine, what could it have been as it did test positive for coke?
& this, lidocaine says cannot be changed into Coke.

You can get a false positive from lidocaine. I once took a piss test for a company after going on a binge of coke. After the test results came back, they called me, telling me that they found a massive amount of coke in my piss. i denied it, they asked if I had any novacaine or lidocaine, dental shit done...I never did get the job, of course. I have to say, take your lidocaine and IM it into your legs, it's like being a paraplegic.

When you pull a muscle, or fuck some sort of muscle up for some reason or another, the doc will inject that muscle with lidocaine. A good example is sports teams, they always have a shit load of lifocaine on hand for injuries, it's a quick recovery. But, yeah, we use to shoot it into our thighs and calf's, it actually is pretty interesting. I mean, you don't get high, you just get numb.

I inject lidocaine into my leg on an almost daily basis. Or, rather, I was till I ran out. Trying to find a supplier for multiuse injectable lidocaine or marcaine, but no luck so far. Sucks too, that shit is the only thing that works for my pain. Plus it's nice to have around when I get a supreme tooth ache, I can just inject into a few spots in my gum and jaw, and NO pain for hours. My teeth are fucked, so that tends to happen about once every week or two.
Fuck I need to find some lidocaine. I keep meaning to do research on IM benzocaine, but keep forgetting. Cuz fuck, I could just get some oragel, evap it down and then clean it up and shit and inject that, but I want to make sure it is going to last at least a couple hours, and it's not like I have any epinephrine sitting around to add to it, so I'm not fucking with it till I get some idea of length of action.
I may end up having to order some topical xylocaine or something, and then clean it up and make it injectable if things keep going like they are.

Indeed, but it is soluble in ethyl ether, and if ethyl ether is safe for IV administration (it is) then I'm sure it would be fine for IM. Though, I'm not sure I'd do something like that, at least not till mister IV himself comes back with his report of IV ether, which I am eagerly anticipating.

A very simple extraction of benzocaine is possible by getting the anbesol liquid, containing just benzocaine. Pretty much, just put in a bottle or flask, pour in cold water and shake up for a bit, you will then see the benzocaine floating in it then just filter and you will have the pure benzocaine. |

LOL by my math, less than a dollar a gram total production cost for benzocaine, cheapest price in a store is over 3x that. And that is buying the precursors at retail cost, not bulk. In bulk I imagine I could cut the cost down quite a bit. Too bad there is no illicit market for benzocaine.
