Is there any way to tell the shrooms you are getting are potent and even contain a lot or alittle psilocybin in them? like how you can tell the potency of weed by looking at it. Awhile back I got shrooms that had big dark blue spots on them and they were the best I've gotten so far but I remember hearing something about gold caps or some shit.

They will most likely bruise blue. That is very surface level, and it's not true for some species, but for your sake, if they're bruised blue, go ahead and buy them.

& how fast they turn blue when bruised.
There is some test using something called 'Metol' its a photography chemical & not really that easy to find.

in my experience there has been no clear way to determine how good a certain batch of mushrooms are just by looking. However, i feel it is possible to determine if a batch is not going to be that great. If the the shrooms are all bruised and broken i probably wont buy them. i like my boomers to have nice golden brown stems caps and white stems. if they are bruised it usually means they've been handled a lot therefor they are older and MAY not be as good.

The blue bruises are a good indicator that they are good. Though, there are many different species of shrooms, it's hard to really tell. Just start with a couple caps and see what happens, maybe a cap and a stem. If you get slightly high, take more.

STFU bitch. I never said that bruising meant potent. I said that blue-bruising more times than not suggest 4-OH-DMT. Seriously, ~94% of psilocybin mushrooms sold on the street are Cubes. Almost nobody sells the psychoactive mushrooms that don't bruise and no sane dealer (that doesn't have a grudge) will knowingly sell a kid poisonous mushrooms. That just would beg an investigation.
