Im sure this thread has been done 2000 times, but I'm wondering who has smoked out of one and if they could share anything about it.

Are they any good? I've heard they uses less weed, but how many hits do you usually have to brew to get thoroughly fucked in the dome?

We are not all clones, it effects each person differently. Try it out for your self.

I made one like a year ago.I think they suck.I'm pretty sure I did it right and I barely got high.The little high I got lasted like 20 minutes.

They work OK...Just keep the flame on and turning the bowl to heat it up evenly.

make sure it is sealed while you burn and let the bulb fill up before taking the flame off and taking a hit...Also, use a straw or something so you dont inhale ash.

you all fail at using them, but i agree store bought are better. dont heat it up with a lighter, thats just retarded. use a little candle and keep it like an inch away and yes it uses a lot less weed.

I think they give a different clearer high much more intense and longer lasting than normally smoked even with smaller amounts. It seems to have less negative side affects and no scent... Only problem is I use them literally to death when I make one and I can rarely be bothered to make another for a while after that.

The consensus seems to be pretty split in these threads. People either love them or hate them. I think the people that hate them were doing it wrong. I used one almost every day for awhile and saved sooo much weed. I found there was a lot less smell too, it smelled more like burning leaves or something then the oh-so-obvious weed smell.

I'd say go for it, but don't put lots of weed in until you can get the 'technique' down. Don't hold the lighter (or candle, whatever you want) right underneath, hold it a few centimeters below the bulb. That seems to be the number one mistake.

I love my Lightbulb vap.
It always gets me really high, usually for longer then when using other methods.
I prefer Sativa strands through the vap the most.

I like them a lot because I'm a stingy mother fucker so the more I conserve the happier I am but I also like the high I get from them. One thing thats key about them is to make sure they are air tight. If it's not then the vapor is just going to leak out and you'll feel like a fool just sucking on hot air.
I put a candle on a flat surface and have the l-vape just far away enough from the flame so the bulb doesn't blacken. If you can't see a faint little stream of smoke give the vape a flick and it should will appear. Hint: the higher watt on the bulb the longer they will last/ more resilient they are to cracking.

I like lightbulb vapes. They're nice if you know how to use it right. You should use a candle and keep it an inch or so from the bulb and keep it evenly heating the bulb while shaking it when the lower pieces are already vaped. It takes a couple of minutes to start to vape but you can see it start swirling around the bulb then you start pulling on it slowly. Also works best when the bud is broken up as much as possible. I haven't smoked one in a long time but I used to a lot when I lived with my parents and was paranoid about the smell.

you also get cannibinoid control if you add an electric thermometer (yes, i am a nerd).

eh try it, i vape the hash i make... light a candle, find a pen tube or a straw, throw some finely broken up weed or hash, throw it in, heat about 1/4-1 inch away from the flame until there is a good deal of vapor, take thumb off the hole and inhale while heating... hold it in, exhale, repeat...

irritates the throat a bit, but it doesn't use as much weed and the high is a little bit different...

I can't fucking do it right. It either shatters or doesn't vaporize what's inside. I say FUCK IT, as i own the real things instead of makeshift pieces of crap that SHATTER, getting broken glass in my foot/ass/hand.

good when your by yourself, but not as fun when your with friends.

i have myself a little flashlight lightbulb (very small) for myself with the inside of a pen taped to it. it works well if i pack the bulb with weed and its only me smoking, otherwise i use a bubbler/joint.

the bulb is about this big.
