So I smoke ciggarettes, specifically Marlboro reds. I used to smoke Marlboro 27's, and now can't stand the taste of those.

Reds used to taste like fucking death and shit mixed. Now they're heaven.

So i'm back in my hometown and as I was visiting my parents my brother hands me a buy one get one free coupon for Camel lights.

Now honestly, these things are tearing my fucking throat up. After two packs my throat feels like I've been inhaling hay dust and shrapnel.

Arn't lights supposed to have a less harsh flavor? These are killing me. I'm going to go buy a back of reds in an hour or so. Yuck mother fucker.


And what about these fire safe cigarettes? They added two thick paper bands inside the actual paper, and changed the chemical composition of the paper it self too I believe. They burn like shit, taste like shit, smell like shit.... Is this a new strategy for tabacco companies on the poposition of loosing customers?

I used to smoke menthols. But I can't take 'em anymore. They make me sick to my stomach.

Up until last Friday, I would never contemplate buying a pack of Menthols, then I was smoking them at a party all night cos some chick kept crashing me them, and they are so nice. Especially for joints.

Camels are typically more harsh on a throat compared to Marlboro, etc. As far as lights go...not really sure. Just that they taste shittier.

And true, the FSC don't taste as good. They're playing on the whole 21st century mindset of trying to be eco & safe friendly. They go out so they won't start fires, making them seem safer to prevent deaths. At least if you forget a cig or have to do something, you won't waste it by burning it out.

I usually smoke Peter Jackson reds, just because they've what I've always smoked. Not horribly expensive and the taste is pleasant. Not to mention the logo is a Unicorn wearing a crown.

Pueblo rolling tobacco, or failing that, flavoured pipe tobacco shag from this pipe shop, cos it's cheap and quite nice. After that comes the proper commercial rolling baccy, of which I prefer Drum Mild/Pal-Mal, ones like that, or Golden Vaginia if there's nothing else... as it kinda blows.

For actual cigarettes, my "loves" are Camel Menthols, but they don't sell them in the UK, so I just crash them off my Japanese friend when she has them. I dunno, straights don't appeal that much, I prefer rolling my own cos of the cost/taste/action/strength...

On the subject of lights - i guess Camel lights are o-k; i just can't stand most Marlboro cigs as they smoke so badly, and taste crappy... Camel are just somewhat better. Proper "low tar" cigs are a con though, cos the paper is just perforated more, so your tokes are more air, and less tar/nicotine.... plus you're then inhaling deeper, so they're hardly much better for you..
