Where would they be if they let society become open minded? As people regain control over themselves, they loose their control over them. They loose more of their imaginary power. And they can't have that.

So? Fuck them and their illusions of material power and control.

We already are free. Do what you will.

Oh my god. What a question. "Is salvia the next marijuana?". I've heard of unbelievably stupid shit from the news but I've never heard anything quite that stupid. Imagine that people going around taking hits of salvia every day to relax and have fun. The world would be a fuckin crazy place thats all I can say.

Tallahassee no wonder. Its as if every mentally disabled retard in America moves to Florida with his sister and begins inbreeding whole families of degenerate retards.

inexpensive and easy-to-obtain plant could become the next marijuana
Inexpensive??? I know the news is infamous for being inaccurate but jesus christ they are spewing out bullshit thats the complete opposite of the truth. Salvias the most expensive drug there is and LSD is easier to find than it.

Whens this madness going to end? Even the dumbest, most ignorant, authority loving retard with his head firmly stuck up his crack can see how ridiculous this drug prohibition bullshit is. They're basically outlawing things because people are using them. They have no reason to outlaw these things other than the fact that people are using them to alter their consciousness. WHO THE FUCK DO THESE SCUMBAGS THINK THEY ARE?? Salvia causes absolutely no harm to anyone and is as much a threat to society as it is its user. What are they going to ban next music?? After all music can change peoples moods and some songs make people depressed.

Maybe that's what we need, to finally wake up and look beyond this everyday bullshit and actually look into ourselves and find out what really matters.

Why would you call it crazy? Is it the only reason you call it "crazy" because it doesn't seem "normal"??, If so then what do those two words actually mean to you? and I mean you personally, not every other muppet around you or what society says.

Maybe it's a step forward for evolution?being able to really look outside the box, actually letting our brains explore and not to be afraid, instead of being constricted to this basic way of thinking.

Ya, they want to take it out of the Head-Shops that card people, and put it in the hands of the street level drug dealers that do not card kids.

Banning salvia will make it pretty much dissappear. There's not enough demand for it to create an underground market. But really, knowing the government it should already be banned. Of course technically no drugs should be banned, but according to the current policies of the government it should've been banned a long time ago. Its just that now with the internet, people found out about its use, and thus it became somewhat popular. The internet will make other drugs famous aswell.

Even stupid things, like all the Jenkem reports which were all based on fake letters from 'concerned parents' and crude bits of information slapped together from the internet - including 'pickwick'.

That event, the grand 'Jenkem Scare', was such an awesome fucking mockery of how the media reacts to drugs and the idiocy of prohibition, a hoax somewhat manipulated by people who just wanted to have some fun, and simply by the retarded nature of 'acceptiable' western cultures acceptance of drug use, it snowballed into this huge scare, this huge ordeal. Over nothing, because besides pickwick, has fucking ANYONE huffed shit?

Maybe some dumb kids in some hick-ass little town now, thanks to this fucking media spew. When drugs become legal, maybe this event will be used to remind us of the retarded nature of our viewer-hungry media and of prohibition.

Its funny how all this started BECAUSE of that teens death. But if anyone cares enough to read up about it, he had a shitty life and he was an ALCOHOLIC which had already fucked him up enough. hmm... short term salvia usage, or long term persistent alcohol usage determining suicide? along with a shitty life?

Salvia's short-lasting effects and fact that it is currently legal may make it seem more appealing to teens, lawmakers say. In the Delaware suicide, the boy's mother told reporters that salvia made his mood darker but he justified its use by citing its legality. According to reports, the autopsy found no traces of the drug in his system, but the medical examiner listed it as a contributing cause.I love how people buy into this bullshit.

"You don't make everybody happy when you outlaw drugs. You save one child and it's worth it."

Lol.

the article is mostly reguarding "kids" and kids arnt allowed into headshops. totse is also filled with kids.

btw e-mail sent to Mary Brandenburg, i think thats the best way to actually change something insted of bitching/doing it anyway. although were having a nice discussion here and i wouldnt tell you not to do it just cause its illegal.

Not really. Maine passed a law that says that it's fine for adults to use salvia where other states just don't have any laws about it.

http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/law/law_article8.shtml

It really pisses me off that in North Dakota it was made illegal without many people even knowing. I only found out after it was already passed into law. When I searched on the net for news articles I found one from a nearby city's tv station's website. In August I'll be moving to a city right next to Minnesota so hopefully Minnesota doesn't pass any laws against salvia.

EDIT: Wow, I should've read all the posts before I made mine. I didn't even see the one right above mine until after I wrote this. When that law in Maine was passed I was really happy and thought that maybe other states would do the same, but so far they haven't :(.

"I'd rather be at the front edge of preventing the dangers of the drug than waiting until we are the 40th or more," she said.

Is it just me or is the stupid bitch trying to make it into a pissing contest to see who can ban it first?

An ounce of salvia leaves sells for around $30 on the Internet.

They mustve been smoking their stockpiles of pot when they said that because Ive never seen quality salvia for that cheap.

Mike Strain, Louisiana's Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner and former legislator, helped his state in 2005 become the first to make salvia illegal, along with a number of other plants. He said the response has been largely positive.

The fuck? Louisiana is still the same ol shithole.

According to reports, the autopsy found no traces of the drug in his system, but the medical examiner listed it as a contributing cause.

Oh fuck I loled.

My read on it is that this is basically a bunch of shitstorm flying because some idiot teen killed himself and his parents pointed the finger at it. Now all the politicians are wanting to make their penises feel bigger by doing something that displeases the general population.

Oh and for the record, its too bad that whole teens family didnt die of AIDS or something.

:)
