Default Drug addiction

How many consecutive days in a row do you have to do heroin to get addicted to it? Does addiction come on no matter what dosages you do?

You talking physical or mental addiction?

Cos mental addiction [or at least craving] could develop from just one hit, but physical addiction would take about 2 weeks of daily use to develop (not so sure of this, but I've heard it's somewhere around that figure)

There's no set pattern. Generally, heavy every day usage for a couple weeks will have you feeling the rattle. After about a month of a bag or two a day, I was feeling ill all the time. I never thought it was the gear, of course. If you let it, it will get you in a headlock, to say the least.

It's not set in stone, but your name is if you keep doing the shit. It always seems to fucking creep up. Be careful.

Whenever doing drugs that are physically addicting, you should do it once, and then wait at least a week to observe your thought patterns and how your body feels. If you don't want to get addicted, you should learn to space your doses out so that all mental and body cravings subside before doing it again.

To answer how quickly it takes to get physically addicted, it really only takes a few consecutive doses. Depends on tolerance, your body type and other factors though.

Yeah that makes sense. The mental addiction always kicks in 50 times quicker than the physical one. Just like weed its only after I smoke joints every day for about 2 months straight that I start feeling bad if I don't have weed.

I hope you're joking. If you're being serious, don't even think about riding the brown horse.

wow totse is not dial up friendly...

well, man if your already trying to justify your use to yourself you're already fucked mentally...

physically, if you've never been hooked before 2 weeks for the little things to start, a month and your good and solid, after 3 you've shut down your own endorphin system basically becoming dependent on opiates. now that 3 month thing isn't written in stone, it happens to others sooner than later. but take it from me, you do not wanna fuck it up..

That's another shitty thing. You WILL underestimate it until the monkey is on your back. Very slow process, hidden under a false sense of security.

Im getting
better at it but if I have extra dope left over the next day I will smoke it. Or i will just want more the next day and if i have money i will probably pickup again. I have been spreading my use out to on use up to 2 days in a week now. When I have suboxone atleast haha.

I've never known a chipper who didn't get addicted later if not sooner. You get to much into the good feeling and you'll soon feel that you got a handle on it and so will start doing it more than once a week.

Then you're doing it two days in a row. You find out that you can do that and still not be hooked - you can still go a day and longer without feeling bad if you've had none. Soon enough you occasionally do it three days in a row. You try to maintain at that - putting a day or two between. Then only one day in between. Then you start to lose track of how many days it's been so maybe you do it four and five days in a row and not realize it.

You do that a few times and then one day you go to have your clean day and you find that you don't feel so good. So you do a little even that day. Just a little. To make you feel ok.

Next thing you know, you are well and addicted.

Don't think that could happen to you? That that sounds too easy to avoid? Well that's exactly how too many people I've known - including myself to a certain extant - got hooked.
