| Better Living Through Chemistry Discussions of any and all sorts of mind-warping chemicals, pills, booze, mind machines, trippy stuff, current street prices, importing pharmaceuticals, smart drugs, nutrients, herbs, and altered states. Please try to keep your conversations "theoretical" in nature, since this is an open conference. |

Scripts
I was put on meds awhile ago and quit them cold turkey when my doc took me off kpins and tried to dope me up 24/7 with a powerful anti-schizo drug that makes life one long boring pointless dreamlike experience ( almost like i was a dead person interacting with the living), This guy isn't the original person that put me on the meds. Recently i realized that without being on my meds or self-medicated (pot) i'm having mental and social issues and was told to go to a hospital to have a mental evaluation and was wondering. Do they look at your previous medications? and if they do, could i give them my original doctors office info to get they're evaluation or would they look at my last doctors also. I wouldn't mind starting from scratch but my old script was 6-9mg ( not including PRN) of clonazepam daily and anything else would be a tease and not help my situation. I'm just afraid that if i tell them what i need (it being a serious dosage) and what i need to be put on then they will look at me like a fiend trying to score some dope and give me nothing or give me some generic placebo bullshit.
Knowledge and Advice appreciated.

Re: Scripts
the ER will not write you a prescription for any scheduled substance. they might give you some while you're there but they wont give you any to take with you.
the only people who will give you long term prescriptions of benzos are doctors and psychiatrists.
so, no, going to the hospital wont help.

It's not an urgent care or local hospital, i was refereed to a psychiatric hospital where trained counselors and liscened psychiatrist are on call 24/7 for "mental emergencies"

Re: Scripts
again, its an outpatient program. they'll medicate you while you're there but they wont give you anything to take with you.
plus the doctors at the mental hospital wont think your problems are that serious being as they deal with schitzophrenics all day long. a normal doctor will not only be more likely to give you the drugs, but will allow you to take it yourself at home.

Plus ER doctors are better trained to spot drug seeking behavior and it sure as hell seems like thats what ur doing even if thats not ur aim.
