L Crime Competition (Concept for a new Kira-ish game)
Greeting my fellow Totseans,
As some fo you already read, I write short detectives. The main character in these stories is L, the famous death note detective. The way I set-up the story line is to first present the case and then give the reader time to solve the case him/herself. I take great care to give accurate information that can be traced back to reality. This way the reader can investigate certain information to verify stories, check leads, draw up a theory, etc.
The failure of the last two Kira-games was disappointing but got me thinking that the way it was set-up was all wrong. Instead of thinking from Kira' point of view we should look from L' point of view.
My idea was to setup a crime solving competition. I write a detective that can only be solved in one way and post it on totse. Everyone that applied for "L' Crime Competition" can send me his/her solution. The people that come closest to L' deductions go on to the next round.
What does Totse think of this?

I think you're a tad full of shit, just a tad though, the failure of the last ones was due to my sudden, unexpected lack of internet. Thank you for offering to do a different one though, YOU can have hoards of people bitching at you because "You're not doing it right blah blah blah" when you really can't help not being on the internet.

I'm not pointing the finger at you. Its just that the relative number of times that the admin needed to check on the game' process was the achilles heel of the entire game. The slightest thing going wrong disturbs the entire process. Not your fault at all, it was just to laboreous.

While I have to agree that you write an entertaining detective story, It doesn't seem very anime-themed, except for the main character's name.

Re: L Crime Competition (Concept for a new Kira-ish game)
OK, slightly new deal. The first story isn't my only story. I've written more stuff with L as the main character. One story was all about comparing times and stories to eachother and another one was based on a real murder. That this one just happened to look like a CSI story was not an act of copying ideas.
I write a very original story and present it to you. It will be something you have to think really hard about. Then I ask the people that have signed up to solve the case by answering certain elements. The people that manage to do this in a logical manner, not by guessing, go on to the next round. The last one standing will recieve the temporary title of "L" until he's beaten of the throne in the next L' Crime Competition.
