Has anyone seen this movie while they were actually on something (other than a couch)?

I put it on just for the experience after I had taken 30mgs of oxy and 850 mgs of DXM. It was pretty damn intense, I felt really guilty afterwards though.

But then I realized that they were just actors and then didn't give a shit.

Did you realize that it was a poooooorly done movie... slightly entertaining, but incorrect and plain stupid in at least 80% of the scenes...

I own that movie, I have watched it recently, but I HATE IT!

I watched this last night actually...

I have seen it sober, and I have seen it stoned (as in last night). I liked it much more this time. Was more intense than the first time around.

meh I thought it was okay

A couple of the scenes were really over exaggerated but thats just the style of the movie.

When I watched it while high though, it drew me right in and tugged on me heart strings.

I read the wikipedia article on it, and apparently a character has vivid hallucinations from large doses of heroin?

How is it poorly done, I actually think the way it's filmed is quite unique... and 80% of the scenes are incorrect Confused 80% is a high percentage... I would have to disagree.

Anyhow, I actually like Requiem for a Dream. But I would have to say I like Pulp Fiction and Drugstore Cowboy far more.

.peace.

I told myself I wouldn't say anything, but, It's not OOBE, it's OBE. People don't say USOA, right? Acronym's exclude any word(s) that are short, such as Of, The, etc.

The only reason people say the movie was poorly done is because it doesn't match up with reality and their drug experiences. While I agree with that, you have to realize it's a fucking movie, and almost all movies/tv shows are overly dramatized and over the top for entertainment effects. Did you know most cops haven't even shot their gun, yet in tons of movies and cop shows you always see firefights with bad guys and such.

This movie was excellently directed and shot in my opinion, and was actually unique. It doesn't matter how factual it is, it's a fucking movie.

The poor man's version of this is Spun. lol.

Yeah I know

But I've read it oobe so many time in forums and books that I just sort of forgot to omit the other "o"

Couldn't have said it better myself. And chad, bullshit you read it as OOBE. I've NEVER seen that form being used, and it's an indicator that you shouldn't trust that particular source of information if they can't even get the simple rules for acronyms right.

the only problem I had with the movie is the incorrect pupil dilation bridge cut scenes. Other than that, I thought it was pretty well done.

I really enjoyed how they did it during the part where the mother goes to the doctor and she's like 'everythings... all messed up...' they actually kind of captured the way it feels to be completely fucked after being up for a few days.

Am I the only one who thinks the movie Spun was disappointing? It was OK.. but Requiem for a Dream is a much better drug film overall.

Requiem for a Dream is a kick ass movie.
It's not a documentary.
It's not supposed to be exact and correct in every aspect.
It's meant to entertain you,
And I think it follows through on that point.

Peace.

I've seen it drunk and sober.

Couldn't pay attention the drunk time, but the sober time really got to me. Not the heroin parts or anything, but the parts with the guys mom. None of the other parts got to me at all, just the fact that she was completely loosing her sanity. She couldn't even help it either. The other three, they chose their paths in a way. But the mother didn't know any better, and now she's fucked. Ack, I need to watch it high.

The first time I saw it I was sober, then I saw those quick flashes of them doing bumps, and it convinced me to break my last oxy.
