Because benzos don't have a smell?
no, because as a rule, LE is mostly after coke, pot, and amphetamines.

Re: thailand troubles
seriously though, benzos have a smell I'm sure, it's just that the quantities in the little pressed tablets are very small for one, and for another it's hard to differentiate between the smell of the active chemical and the binders. (stick your nose in a bottle of 90 xanax, and tell me the pills are odorless.)
it might not have much of a smell, but if there was enough of it in one place you could probably detect a chemically sort of odor. i'm reasonably sure dogs can smell benzos but just aren't generally trained to recognize and mark on them.

Re: thailand troubles
A lot of people have a prescription for benzos.I think the canine officer's would waste too much time bothering these people.I doubt they look for prescription medication.
