Default LSD durability...

Monday night I got 6 hits, ate 3, tripped really hard, had a good time. When I got home I threw the bag with the other 3 into my box. Well when I woke up they weren't in the bag. So like 2 days later I found them all balled up (theyre gellies) in my bed. I tasted it a little bit to be sure it was them.

My question is do you think I can still trip off of these? They were squished together in my bed for 2 days and they have lint and weird shit stuck on them...

no you might as well throw them away. it'd be too much work to just eat them and find out

This, because it made me laugh, as his comments usually do.

Anyway, LSD is not a very durable substance and they have definitely lost potency after being exposed to heat and light, but thats not to say they are USELESS. So, theres only one way to find out.

bed = body moisture.

LSD does not get along to kindly with moisture. It is most likely somewhat decomposed. Just eat them and don't expect much (although I'd suggest waiting because you're body has already developed a nice tolerance to the cid, wait ATLEAST a week). If they're still good, than woo hoo, time to party. If they're bad, at least you went into the experience expecting the worst so as not to be TOO disappointed.

What the fuck are you talking about? Moisture does nothing to LSD besides make it moist.

Quit making shit up and get a brain.

LMAO dude, you're a funny guy dude. I believe I have a brain, considering I work in a university chemistry lab doing research on the mechanisms of protein aggregation, and am only one semester from getting my BS in chemistry. I know what I'm fucking talking about man.

Many organic compounds will decompose faster when exposed to moisture. This is partially due to the higher exposure to the many chemical species (such as metal ions) that are potentially present in water; several could be harmful to LSD . It is also due to the fact that water causes hydrolysis in many organic compounds. LSD hydrolysis is not a fast process, but it DOES HAPPEN.

It could happen by H20 molecules lightly binding to the "spine" of the LSD molecule (water is known to be POLAR), which causes bond angle stress, increasing the rate of decomposition, or by interaction with the H+ or OH- ions in water.

I'm not saying in 2 days lsd mixed with water will decompose, but it will decompose faster.

Knowledge to your brain son.

EDIT:

BTW I guess I might as well add this in.

"Two portions of its molecular structure are particularly sensitive, the carboxamide attachment at the 8-position and the double bond between the 8-position and the aromatic ring. The former is affected by high pH, and if perturbed will produce isolysergic acid diethylamide (iso-LSD), which is biologically inactive. If water or alcohol adds to the double bond (especially in the presence of light), LSD converts to "lumi-LSD", which is totally inactive in human beings, to the best of current knowledge. Furthermore, chlorine destroys LSD molecules on contact; even though chlorinated tap water typically contains only a slight amount of chlorine, because a typical LSD solution only contains a small amount of LSD, dissolving LSD in tap water is likely to completely eliminate the substance."

Lol, it's called chemistry dude. What I said wasn't even that complex. I'm sorry you can't follow along...

The reason I asked was because I wanted to sell it to a friend and didn't want him to get ripped off. But I ended up eating them yesterday anyway and they worked about half as well as they did when they didn't spend the night in my bed. Still fun though.

QFMFT.

Then can you explain to me WHY PEOPLE MIXING LSD WITH WATER TO DOSE SEEMS TO WORK?

Didn't think so. Now fuck off.

Haha I've always thought about how funny it would be to spike someones drink with a somewhat large does of LSD. They wouldn't have any idea what was happening to them.

It would just go straight into their stomach, where it wouldn't be absorbed very well.

What are you talking about? From what I've heard it works just the same.

Think about the Electric Kool-Aid acid tests.

lol, i fucking hate idiots

If you read my post, and can understand English, then you would notice I said water will cause the LSD to decompose faster.

This is also something known as the rate of reaction. I never said anything about how much faster the decomposition would be, but rather just that it would increase. Everyone fucking takes LSD mixed with water considering most of our fucking weight is water. Your saliva, gastric juices, and mucous are composed mostly of water.

I never said a word about whether or not the dose would be active or not. Neither did I say that taking LSD w/ H20 would inactivate the dose; the decomposition process is most likely too slow to make an effect. It was your prepubescent brain that jumped to that conclusion.

That's a quote (hence the quotation marks), and that's due to chlorination. It's somewhere on wiki.

And that statement is probably true, however I still didn't comment on the rate, considering I never mentioned anything about time, but whatever. Yeah, all the LSD would probably favor chlorination, but the concentrations of both LSD and chlorine are probably so small that a very strong reaction such as the chlorination of LSD is very much time dependent. And once again, we're back in the same spot. The process of chlorination of LSD (by drinking tap h20 when dosing) is probably not rapid enough to have a noticeable effect. The amount of active lsd lost is most likely negligible due to the slow rate of reaction; the slow rate is due to extremely small concentrations.

I could explain further, but I'm not going to waste my time. I'm spreading along worthwhile and trustworthy info, whoever is intelligent or ambitious enough to read and understand it - good for you. If you can't understand well enough to make an educated comment, then don't bother. BLTC is becoming very ignorant...
